    Default Any Suggestions

Can anyone tell me why my rest has to be all the way to the left for my bow to shoot straight? It has a bad right tear if it's not all the way to the left. All the way, as in having to unscrew the prong and move it to the left also. It looks retarted, and it's driving me nuts. I even had to move my sight all the way to the left. Do I need to rotate the limbs or install shims? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What bow and setup are you shooting. Sounds like a spacer issue.

I'm shooting a GT500 with QAD Ultra Pro. Arrows are CT Cheetah Hunter 45/70. It can't be right. It's like I'm forcing it to shoot straight. It's kind of like one of those cars you've seen going down the road sideways. The car is going straight but it's at an angle going down the road. There has to be some way to correct this.

Call Elite and have them send a spacer pack to ya, you can do a search on here for the correct spacing,,, good luck.

I don't know how bow technical you are but it's really not hard to do. When you remove the old spacers you need to measure them to find out which shims to replace them w/. As far left as your centershot is I would say to start out w/ a .02 movement(move cam closer towards riser). Check thru paper w/ centershot at 7/8's and if right tear persists then move another .01. Keep doing this until you get a bullet hole at or CLOSE to 7/8's. Rimember you don't want any play in the cam after spacers are installed, however you don't want to spread the limb forks by using too big of spacers either. Good luck. These bows shoot really well. For some reason above me the rev cams like to be exactly in the center line of the bow to paper tune well.

Is this the case with the Envy also? I have the same thing with mine and would love to be able to get a little more towards the riser.

is this an 08.5 GT500 or a brand new 09?

You can try spacers but if you are bow tech savvy try swapping top and bottom limb first. But only attempt any of this if you know how to break down a bow and have all the proper gear to do so. I'd recommend u bring it to ur local elite dealer if you purchased it thru one.

If u don't have a local dealer I will do the work for u at my shop for $25 (that includes paper tuning) but U have to get it to/fro. I'm in western NJ.

I bought the bow in late december 2008. The number on the riser reads 750665. I have no clue on the year. I guess it would have to be a 08.5 or 09. Was this problem more prevelant on the 08 and 08.5 models? Hopefully, tomorrow I can get in touch with Denny, show him pictures of the rest, and find a solution to this problem. It should be fixable or where the rest will at least lie flat on the shelf. I appreciate everyones help with this.
