Well the good news is in.
The 4 Blazer X2's do seem to steer a Striker 100 out to 50 yards in a 10 mph cross wind. My test consisted of shooting a BH arrow followed by a feild tip arrow. I did this about 10 times but the spread was never more than 4" between the two arrows and it was hard to hold steady with the wind.
I did see the rear of the BH arrows steer over more but it appears they do the job ok. I did think the trend was for the BH to go down wind but more testing when I am fresh with zero wind and then more crosswind and then on out to 80 yards will be done Tuesday night.
Here are the neat things.. 4 blazer x2's weigh within 1 gr of my 3 2" Blazers. I was excited with this because I wouldnt hve to change my 5 sight pins that were dead on. The good and bad news is that the x2's seem to drop less than the blazer x2's. this is comparing field tip results. But my blazer 2" shot my BH's and FT's exact IMHO so this news means flatter trajectory. Which means a sight adjustment will be required anyway. Dang I wish these 5 pins sights were self adjusting.

Well as promised I got to the range and shot some Bh's
I shot out to 60 yrds with the 350 gr Gtip UL 400 with 4 Blazer X2's.
I shot both the hellrazor and bloodrunner several times at 60 yrds. Both broad heads were above the 2" orange spot and my Gt 3D tipped feild arrows were below but left right looked perfect. I have never checked to see if the Gt easy pull tips drop more than a pointy feild tip?? One time I had 1" groups with my 2 feild tip arrows and the Bh was still 3-4" higher.
A buddy shot both these tips using my 2" Blazers (he has a blade rest and could not shoot my 4 X2's) and the broadheads were also a tad higher for him?
I left my striker 100's at home. there was no wind to speak of.
This little hellrazor looked interesting. Does anyone have and usefull info on it. It is a piston type head.. it opened up to a ginormous looking 1.5" dia. I wonder how this Broadhead does on penetration tests?? I like the way it might dig in and not skip off a glancing rib shot.

I forgot I shot these with my tree limb quiver on. I forgot to ask my buddies if it was loud and I didn't notice it. I only had 3 arrows in the 5 quiver max.

I have been using 4 mini Blazers going on 4 years now flectched at 90 degrees. I shoot all sorts of broadheads and have had great results out to 70yards even shooting the big two bladed Silver Flames. I don't see any reason the X2's won't do the same in the 4 vane configuration.

well it is windy as heck outside.. in fact to windy to shoot.
I had to step inside to hold steady otherwise I was blowing 2 feet of the target at 27 yards. Weather station says 29 mph cross wind

THe 4 blazer X2's weight the same as 3 2" by the way.
I shot feild tips and broadheads (Striker 100's) in both the 4 x2's and the 2 2" from last year.
The back of the arrow on both arrows no matter feild tip of BH whipped violently to the downwind side. From what I saw the x2's corrected just as fast if not faster than the 2" and maybe didn't swing quite as much downwind to start with. I was within 2" of the 2"x2" red duck tape square I was aiming at.
I am convince that with a good shooting bow these X2's will steer a BH..
I should go out to the river bottom so I can shoot 50-60 yards but I dont think I could get a good steady shot to tell anything.

Can you get a 4 fletch on an Axis arrow? Have you ever seen or tried the Bohning 3 degree fletcher, I just got one and it put a lot more helical on the fletchings. I fletched up some FMJ's with X2's and will compare them to reg blazers with reg helical and the 3 degree fletch.

is that 3 degree bohning the same as the new short vane helical??
I think that is a good idea as most of the old fletchers dont put much helical on these short vanes.. Like none on the bitz. that part of the clamp is straight.

I am having some right broad head issues today with no wind at 50 yards.
The BH hit about 5" right and lower than the feild tip. I am exploring moving the limb driver rest. As It all but came apart 2 weekends ago and I just set it in the feild... We will see if I can get the flight the same. I am also sporting a full quiver compared to earlier in this testing.

Yes it was designed by Bohning to do the blazers with a good amount of helical, it's significant over my Bitz.

I've seen Ltrain on here put 4 fletch on ST Epics, so imagine you could do it on an Axis also

well I wonder if more helical would help me out.
I have decided that the 4 blazer X2's will not steer the BH perfect for me.
I guess my tune is out more than before or the quiver even though I took that off.
THe X2's are much quieter than the 2". I will most likely strip off all the 8 x2 arrows I just fletched up yesterday and go 3 2"... IT jsut seems that the x2's dont have enough friction to correct fast enough.

I do love them for feild tips.. to the MAX
