Chevy Duramax (same options as my Dodge) $54,000.00
Ford Power stroke (again, the same) $51,000.00
Dodge Ram and having enough money to buy more archery stuff PRICELESS.

I have the same attitude with trucks as bows. No brand loyalty for me, I drive what I get the best deal on. The only difference is, all of the new bows being made are very good, and all of the new trucks... well, I think they are all over priced, recycled scrap metal that I will loose my @ss on.... Oops, going off on one of my tangents again.

Its ok I drive a Chevy also. and the work truck is a ford. If you drive a Toyota your probably liking the fuel mileage.

WOW...is that what Duramax's are going for now? You are right though they are severly overpriced. I have an 05 Duramax and it cost 4 times what my parents first house cost Now that diesel prices are through the roof I have considered making my own biodiesel. My only fear is not being able to filter the used veggie oil enough to keep my injector pump or injectors clean and keep them from blowing up.

Well I do and it's not that good. I have an FJ cruiser and it gets about 17 around town.

The bio-diesel does not have enough lubrication qualities. Injection pumps, cost too much for me to use that stuff. Yes, the new duramax does cost that much! I couldn't even get a gas burner Chevy for what I paid for my Dodge. Also, I prefer the in-line six of a V8 engine.... more torque.

My next truck will be an F-650 with a Cat engine and an allison transmission, right after the engineer the UGLY out of it.

I've got an Allison tranny in mine and they are top notch. I heard that Dodge will soon be getting a Mercedes diesel and that Cummins would evetually be going in Fords. Is the Power Stroke a CAT engine or an International Harvester?....Disclaimer...this is only what I heard so its 2nd hand info.
