Yeah, a show which is controversial and sometimes sac religious. My wife and I don't particulary enjoy it. In fact we find David Letterman offensive more often than not and sometimes Leno goes too far as well. The ole time values we grew up with have been diluted. You used to be able to leave home with your door unlocked. Not anymore. As the 9 year old son of a divorced school teacher I used to catch the bus to downtown Memphis by myself to run errands for my mother. Not today. We used to accept candy from strangers on Halloween with no fear whatsoever. Not today. Sexual predators which persued children were unheard of. Not today. I'd give up all these modern conveniences to return to that way of life if I could. Just to protect my grandchildren.

It is different. When I re-read it, it didn't sound the same as I thought it in my head.

I do agree that with having children there are ALOT of things on TV that are IMO too much at wrong times anyway "family sitcoms" arent what they used to be! I shouldnt have to feel "uncomfortable' watching these shows with my kids...
Family and sitcom don't even belong in the same sentence anymore unless you add the words dysfunctional or immoral imho. The glamorization of sin in today's TV shows is disgusting. SNL is one of the most liberal of them all. Can they even do a skit without promoting homosexuality? I don't watch it and not only for that reason but it's not even funny anymore.

In general, we don't watch much tv at all and we're very careful what we let our 8 year old watch. Even the commercials are bad. Like my mom used to say, you kids go outside and play or I'll find something for you to do!

Please don't take this personally, but I posted this thread for the people who enjoy comedy and who like Saturday Night Live. Believe it or not, there are hundreds of thousands of people who watch it or did watch it when it was funnier.

In my original post, not one time did I ask what anyone thought of Saturday Night Live or T.V. Shows in general. Everyone has their own opinions and that is fine. But this isn't the thread to express it. Please start a new thread relating to the subject that y'all have changed this thread to. Thanks..
