    Default For the Aussie boys

Just curious what you guys are hunting for,
and what months your seasons run.
Here in the southwest, our big game hunts are pretty much over.
I hunt rabbits and coyotes during the winter months
Turkey season will be next, starts around May here.

Hope the floods haven't effected you personally.

Hasn't been to sunny lately hay cliffy. We can hunt over here all year round the only thing that has seasons are red deer and hog deer. We've got the biggest water buffalo in the world. Not to mention a million or so wild camels. The only wild camels left in the world..

Yeah up here in Queensland we hunt all year round, no restrictions on numbers or male or female. Other states over here do have certain times of the year for different species as mentioned. We have some unreal game to hunt over here but the hunting with bow is still no where near the magnitude of in the States. It's good though all the more game to chase for the people who do chase them around.

A successful hunt is not measured by the game on the ground. If you learnt something & enjoyed the Aussie bush it was successful.

Not as far as i am aware there are no laws regarding non-resident tags etc. Over here we do not have a tag system for 95% of the game we hunt. But as for rifles it's a different story. You would have to apply with the relavate authorities for permit to ship firearms. I take it you would be using bow? The only species that i am aware of for tags is for the Hog deer in Victoria State. It is run via a ballot system, unless you have acces to private land with these little blighters on them. Which as hard as finding rocking horse poo.

Mate we have number of guides & outfitters here for all the game Australia offers. Some are better than others that is for sure. It pays to do you homework when looking for an outfitter. If needed i can point you into the right direction of a few who run a very well run professional operation for any of the game you are after here in Australia. It's not all what you pay for is what you get as well here.

Western Australia does offer a certain amount of game, but not as much as the east coast or the Northern parts of Australia. About the only game over in Western Australia is, Wild Boar (small numbers) Wild goats, Camels, Brumbies, Donkey's, Hare (Like Jack Rabbits) But as far as the fishing goes around Broome, you would be hard to find better. If there are any Querries you have i will be glad to try & help out as much as possible mate.

Here in SA we have no seasons either. We get most large ferals (Fallow, Reds, Rusa, Goats, Camels, Donkeys, Brumbys, Dingoes) as well except for really pigs, although there are a few scattered mobs.

Speaking of camels, a friend and I are heading up to Alice Springs for a few days hunting them, so hopefully sometime next week ill be able to post up some pics of some bull camels shot with my bow!

Also just yesterday we went out and shot a few nice billies in the country around home. If i get around to it I might post some pics of them.
