Is this a hot Z????

Well I was tuning a Z for a friend today.. And I think this may be the fastest one i have found... I have it shooting at 29.5in 70.5lbs 380gr arrow at 310 with a loaded string.. and a bisket.. so I add on.. 6 for draw.. 316.... 6 for the loaded string.. 322.. and whatever 30 grains comes to.. and then i few for the bisket.. That puts me at 336 or more?? correct??

maybe i will go back and shoot it with a 352.5 gr... also i am putting a limb driver on also.. so soon we will know what it comes to...

Oh and its the good Z not the new slow one... hahahahaha

oh and i forgot to mention.... This Z was bought used from a guy on AT that said he couldnt get any good speed out of it and gave up..

Just goes to show.. these bows will hit speeds... you just have to learn how to treat them..lol...

The one tool i have found that i think helps more than anything is the easton draw force curve.. the minor changes that make big dif in the speed.. I can look at one now and know how i need to twist the strings and cables to make it go where i want..

When I run the numbers I get something close to 328-330 IBO depending on how you look at the speed deference between 29.5" and 30" DL's. I believe the advertised range on the old Z is 326-336. So you would be right in the range.

Dang, yours is smokin! Your Z is coming in faster than my GT500 if you take all factors into account! As his numbers stand, I dont think his will be near as fast as yours. I'm guessing 318-320.

Which is the good Z the 09 and if so what would speeds be for a 27.5 DL at 70+ DW and my arrows are 388g. Not sure if this is considered a loaded string but I have a Meta peep,d-loop and speed nocks.

The 08.5 Revolution Can Z is rated 10 fps faster than the new 09 Z-Cam Z28...

With the set-up you have described with the new Z (IBO of 316-326) you should see approx 275-285 (-25 for DL; -10 for arrow weight; -6 for loaded string)... I think I did the math right?

my 09 Z does 320 fps at 29" 67 lbs 340 grain arrow..... set at 62 lbs 311 grain arrow it does 321 fps... I don't think it is too slow????

YEP. My Z @ 60# 30'' and 306 grs with loaded string and thru a WB gets 326.... Fast enough for me!
