Are we talking weeks, months or a year before the patent is issued? Waiting to buy when patent war is over...................

Patents most the time take three years or more. You may be waiting for quite awhile

+1 If you buy an elite now it will still be a great bow when things are settled no matter what happens with the patent...

I agree. Whoever has the patent wont make a difference in the bows performance.

One of our R&D guys has 30+ patents. None of them took anywhere close to 3 years.

Patent pending takes usually three years. Why do you think most products say patent pending for years. Because the patent is taking that long to go through. I have applied for a patent and went all through it with a guy who writes articles for patent magazine. Maybe your R&D guys know who to pay the right money to get past earlier. I'm told if you can pay the right lawyers enough it can get your patent through quicker.

Straight from the patent office. This if ever thing is 100% alright which is often not the case at all.
Most patent applications filed on or after November 29, 2000, will be published 18 months after the filing date of the application

My guy that who did mine on a baseball pitching machine. Has done thousands of patents and explained all the crap and I mean crap that goes on to get a patent. Especially one like a common as a archery cam. Did I get a patent (NO after two years) I sold my invention and took the money and ran! Often this is what happens.
