I was a sophmore in high school about 5 min down the road the day that the luby's massacre took place. My dad saw the whole thing from the third floor of his office window overlooking luby's. I know many people who died there, some of who were very close friends of my family. I also know several who made it out like this woman. It was bosses day and my mother was supposed to go to lunch with her boss at luby's but decided to go to another restaurant at the last min...thank goodness. I would say that about 90% of the legislators, if put in that scenario, would change their opinion in a heartbeat after being there that day. It was horrible.

Not being in the room I can only guess. Judging by the smurk looks on all the bleeding hart liberals in the room I would bet it went something like this;

People don't kill people. Guns kill people. ALL guns should be outlawed. We will disarm all law abiding citizens because we know better then you and the 2nd amendment does not mean ALL AMERICANS have the right to own guns.
