If your draw is shorter you are better off with the old ones

Hi, I just went thru the same Issue with my E-Force. I am a 30" Draw so it is Recommended for me to change to the Newer Style Cams. Now if you are a 28" or Less then you have nothing to worry about with the "Original" cams that you have on there now I was told. If you change them to the Newer Style then you will lose roughly 3 to 5 feet per second I was told. The Gentleman who sold me the E-Force told me that both his sons have one also and they have been shooting them for years at the 27 to 28" " Draw Lengths with Absolutely No Problems whatsoever. Just some food for thought! Ray

I have been shooting my 500 with original strings almost every day at a 27" DL. Ray is correct no issues with a shorter draw. I see you have a 30" dl, I have the updated cams on my Energy, seem to be a little more smooth on the draw but not as snappy as the original K8.

well speed is not a big issue with me. plus I got it cranked all the way down to 80# so it will be fast enough with plenty of power. I like a smoother draw and sweet shooter.

    Clean Shot -

Anyway you could send me some pics of your Energy Cams? I think I have the older ones and a 29" draw. The servings and everything looks fine on the original strings. What exactly is the issue that can arise? Wanna trade cams? They're faster...
