07 Synergy Eating Through Cables

My 07 Synergy is eating through the cables. I imagine this is related to where the cams are hitting the cables at full-draw. How do I time the cams so they don't over rotate chewing up my cables but still giving me enough draw length...

This is how I figure it... I'll need a bow-press... I'll have to put twists in the cables, and then adjust my draw-stop... I don't have a press but local archery shops do and I have absolutely no faith in them getting this resolved.

I don't want to have to buy more strings and cables after 200 shots. It's getting rather old.

And by the way, this was happening on the original strings, which is why I replaced them. Not knowing it was a problem with the bow and the setup. Things I knew absolutely nothing about at the time.

Move your draw stop towards the center of the bow a tiny bit at a time until the draw stop contacts the limb before the mod stops contact the cables.

But that will shorten my draw-length and potentially my anchor point, right?

By a little bit. 1/8" Id guess, depends where your stop is set now.
Twisting your cables will affect your draw weight and ATA which will also affect DL.

Just do us ALL a favor,, If you decide to use the Bathroom mirror type trick and drawback your bow and look at the stops whil eyour doing so,, DONT do as others here have done and shoot through your wives shower curtain/ wall/ Neighbors house,, ect,,, lol God knows a few of us have done this before,, Perhaps making yourself a homemade drawboard would be in order,,,,

LOL, maybe I'm some genius, but wouldn't drawing back the bow and having my wife take close up shots of the cams while it's drawn be much easier? All this and I can even release the arrow into my target since I'll be in my backyard on my own shooting range...

Draw lenght is by mod the draw stop fine tunes letoff/valley/DL.
You can adjust DL a little bit by twisting string/cables but there is a reaction for every action
I know as Ive about worn a rope out on my draw board.

Your draw stop is set wrong, on all Elite bows the draw stop does exactly what the name implies, stops the cam from rotating, the ears or raised section of the mod is NOT intended to be a draw stop, only to keep the cam from over rotating if you forget to move the draw stop after a draw module change. There should be a gap between the ear of the mod and the power cable at full draw, between .030-.085 depending on the mod.

If the draw stop is set correctly your cables will never touch to wear out in this area.

Setting the draw stop to the correct position should only shorten your draw by 1/16-1/8", if it shortens it by more just put 2 twist in each cable and check the synchronization of the cams at FULL draw, which is the only way to check this type of cam system.

If you still have problems, call and get an RA and I'll set your bow up at your draw length.

I feel your pain. Coming from a single cam to these binaries, I had a big learning curve and without the help of my good friend Jerry/NJ I may have never figured these bows out.
