I'm thinking about getting a Carter Only four finger.....and start practicing while using a backtension release. Eventually take up 3-D shoots, but my focus will always be primarily hunting...
Any suggestions, ideas or thoughts...??

I think alot of practice, and time would sort that out Kyle....
But you'd definetly have to put some time in....
Ringtail, I use a Loesch Tru BT for hunting. I can just shoot my best with it & the animal deserves my best shot. I haven't had any problems getting shots off with it. I've been using it for a few years.

I've tried shooting a back tension style release for hunting and did not like it. There are times when hunting were you might have to punch a shot off and I have found that when I force a shot off with a back tension release I am ussally off a few inches were as a trigger style release I can punch if I need to and still be right on. Try it out some people are better at forcing a shot off, just make sure you can do when the pressures on. Most people can't shoot one with gloves either.
