More On Ot2

I had to download ontarget2 today. My computer self destructed on Saturday. Or maybe I helped a little. But that's ANOTHER story.
Someone at Pinwheel Software must have found that the GT500 produces much more Ke than they originally thought.
With the new version, my CX 4560 arrows are WAY too weak. They were only VERY SLIGHTLY weak last time I checked.
Even if I take weight of the fletching and weight off the tip , it's not what I would consider close enough.
I've had several conversations with people here on OT2's arrow recommendations. THEY HAVE CHANGED.
I need to buy new arrows......I haven't told my wife yet.

So I put together a small chart to reference with the newer spine numbers for the GT500.

70lbs .3595 .3452 .3312 .3173

Now, go buy new arrows......It'll be a good excuse.

If I were to move up to 65# cutting these arrows to 29.25" it seems that I would be alright spine wise but maybe a little light weight wise?

The spine for your setup is .3242.
The 350's are very weak. 300's are what you should have.

I should also recommend that when looking at the chart , you round the #'s up or down to the nearest 100. That will get you in the ball park.
The spine #'s seem to depend on arrow length to a degree.

Are you saying that at 65# they would be weak, or my present 60#.

At 65 they are weak. 60 would be o.k.

I have had the same experience. It now says that my Maxima 250's, 27", 100gr tip are way too weak for my Z at 65lbs.

I hope they don't all of the sudden start flying erratic now.

I found that my GT500 at 60lbs and 30 inch draw shot my 27.5 inch Maxima 250s with a wrap, unibushings, and a G nock poorly. It definately shoots the Maxima 350s better.

lonehara is going to verify the results with Pinwheel.
The changes seem aweful drastic, we just want to be sure.

What's OT2? I reckon its software to select arrows?? is that right? I have never heard of it before so just asking....

I use software also to select arrows and I guess I would have to ask why the software would change? The package I have is completely up to date and it still gives me the same arrow it did 5 years ago....

For todays high performace bows it just simply recommends a stiffer arrow and to date I SWEAR by it..... I guess I just wanted to chime in and see what this was all about.... where does one see this?
