Question Backing Limb Bolts Out ?

Can someone tell me the TRUE maximum number of turns you can back out the limb bolts on an 08 XXL ? The owners manual says two turns. Mine is a 60 lb bow, and at two turns it only goes down to about 56 lbs, and it's maxing at about 62. I would love to get it down to about 52 lbs if that's safe.

Go about another half turn, you don't want the things to come out all the way on you!

    Kristin,

Thanks for the quick response. And thanks for hooking me up the other day with another XXL. I can't wait to put pictures on here. It came in today and is absolutely gorgeous (blue). Already setup and shot a perfect bullet hole first shot. I just need to sight it in now.......when the wind ain't blowin 35 mph.

Thanks again. I may be in contact with you about DL modules. I ordered a couple from a local dealer not realizing these were not black. They work, but maybe not quite as purty.

It takes about 6 complete turns to get the bolt all the way out. Kevin has stated several times that 2 turns is the max. He also says 1 turn equals 5 pounds. Im not arguing, but from my experience w/ these bows its more like 1 turn equals 2-3 pounds. I would follow elites rules and listen to elite employees.

My experience, too, and I have two of them. Both are about 2-3 lbs/turn. Two turns max doesn't give you much draw weight room. I expect Kevin makes performance based recommendations.

I called for you today to get a pair of those polished DL mods, but you were on the phone. Lonnie took care of it and put me some in the mail. Thanks for all the help you guys provide as always.

quit telling them that kind of stuff, their heads will swell up so big they won't be able to stretch their arms out far enough to put the phone up to their ears...
