Default What climber do you use?

I am looking to get a new climber and narrowed my choices down to a Treewalker LT and a Lone Wolf Sit and Climb. I currently have a ladder stand and an older all steel Dicks climber. Its noisy, heavy, hard to pack and a PITA to attach the foot stirrups so I can climb. I really like how compact the Lone Wolf packs. My local shop has one and he said I can borrow it to try it out.

Post what you have and state what you like or don't like about it.

I have a Summit Viper. Not to heavy, but a little bulky. It is really easy go get on a tree and really quiet.

I have a Lone Wolf sit and climb. The stand is great to pack. Very compact, pretty light, and very very quiet. Settin up at the tree is a breeze, the straps are easy to adjust. Climbing is really easy.

My $100 cheapo climber from wal-mart is more comfortable to sit in. The Lonewolf is narrow and the seat needs to be able to slide farther forward. You almost need excellent posture to sit in the thing.

The front bar folds down to act as the seat you sit on when climbing. Problem with that is that you don't have anything to rest your arms, bow or chin on.... I wish it had a lock of some sort.

I'll be keeping it. The pros outweigh the cons for me.

I use either my Summit Viper or my Summit Goliath. The Goliath has a wider upper portion. Both weigh in approx. 22lbs. Very nice climbers.

Lone wolf hand climber. Love it.
Have sat up to 11-1/2 hours with no problem, I am not big/heavy so it's a little easier for me. Typically I sit 4-5 hrs at a time.

    Quiet
    Light
    Easy to use
    Comfortable enough for me

That was one of my concerns. Can it be modified to lock in an outward position?

Lone Wolf sit and climbs are the ticket to success. That is my biased opinion. I have used them for the last 12 years and am amazed how quiet and durable they still are. The last stand you will ever need to buy. Awesome stands.
