Magilla is right the z is pretty straight forward to tune... but you'll need access to a draw board. Vapor trails usually makes a pretty good set of strings, so i am surprised by your description......

When I first got my Answer - I simply took 600 grit wet dry paper and worked it in the the cable guides on each cam a bit. I have not experianced any issues - its one of the things i have been doing...

I have the same situation on my Z ... start the rest set up at 7/8" from the shelf to mid of arrow and 7/8" from riser to mid of arrow - you should be pretty close from there!

I have the exact same bow only in 27.5 DL - ... i find that that, that particular bow, when tuned well the bow it performs far better when tuned to the third dot on the cam - where DL and DW are set....
