Just listened to the latest Bowcast podcast and they said Anthony Dixon is now working for Elite. Just wondering in what capacity?
Get some goo gone as mentioned. Since it's a black riser it's powder coated, you won't damage the finish. You can use acetone too.
"It isn't the bow itself, but some of the components, like a select few sets of string/cables, that were causing the problems."
A select few sets of strings....really, a few?
I put speed mods on my 28/60 answer and gained about 2.5lbs. Shooting a 347gr arrow I was consistently getting 299-301fps.
How many bows does this ebay guy have to sell? These warranty posts are getting really old, doesn't anyone know how to use the search function?
You would be fine with cutting them anywhere between 27.25 and 27.75
The other guy offered more $$$, simple as that. Is it right after accepting your offer, no. I have been in the same position as the seller and kept my word with the lower offer guy. What he get maybe...
When I had my 09 Z that thing was silent. Make sure it's synced perfectly because that will cause a bunch of noise. What I do on all my bows now is dump the string grubs AND the speed buttons. Then I...
What he said, the cams may already be synced!
2 words, SPEED MODS!
My 28/60 Answer with speed mods shot a 342gr arrow 299fps, that's plenty fast.
PM'd you about mods.
It's all blown out way of proportion!
I think you're nuts! If you're talking about just holding the bow out by only your bow arm and not drawing it then there is no difference AT ALL between the 2 bows. The only difference is one has a...
CBE Tek Hunter XL with single pin scope.
If its put together well, as in the correct cam spacers, the bow will be just fine. But like you already know, no warranty. Personally I wouldn't buy one. You could find a used Z probably for less...
I recently put a CBE Tek Hunter XL with single pin scope on my Answer and won't look back to any other sights any time soon. Before that I ran a Spott Hogg Hunter 7 pin and it's a fantastic sight in...
Uh...no! The cams MUST sync perfectly, you DO NOT one to hit ahead of the other. If they do then you just are not tuned correctly. I suggest a little more research on tuning so you don't give out...
Nope. First thing I did when I got my answer was put the old style bowjax stopper. Then later I tried the bent rod, still hits the stopper. I went back to the stock rod and it shoots just as good as...
On mine I gained 1.5# of DW and 15fps doing nothing more that swapping mods. My Answer was already tuned well to begin with.
At 61.5#, 28" it shoots a 340gr arrow 299fps and a 370gr arrow 286fps....
I'm running the speed mods and really like them. Didn't feel they changed the draw cycle much at all like some guys report. Any time you make a change like mods you always want to double check your...
If it shoots good and doesn't have excessive cam lean then I'd leave it alone.
If you buy strings from a reputable builder there is no reason to measure your set under 100# of tension. I read that suggestion on here a lot. I have yet to measure any strings I installed on a bow....
The current stock elite rods are "offset" not bent. The anti torque rods are "bent" so that as you draw the cable slide is brought closer to the string, that's how it reduces torque. The stock rod...
I could be wrong but it looks like the cables rub each other. When I tried a K&K bent rod on my Answer I had to swap positions of the cables and run the cable slide backwards from the stock position...
