Thats good to know, I was under the impression that because of the type of metal used to make Montecs, that you couldn't get them as sharp as a HellRazor or Snuffer SS.
I have heard a lot of people...
What is the recent news?
As far as a new name, if you want to stay with the car theme, Cobra or Charger and I do like the Blackbird. What about the Elite Warbird?
All the newer Elites I have seen max at 71 or 72 lbs. I haven't seen any, any higher than that.
I'm guessing silver and kiwi w/ clear halo.
Wes has my GT500 right now, what color strings are those? More pics please...:2thunbs:
I agree, both of the GT500s I have seen, needed spacers, and after changing the spacers they both tuned very easily.
I'll bet that XLR will be smoking fast at 32", can you imagine if they made the GT500 with a 32" draw.
All of my hunting bows are between 35-38" and I have an XLR on the way. With my 30" draw, I don't like short bows, the string angle is too severe. If you are taking longer shots, then a longer ATA...
Good shooting! Just keep beating them and eventually they will come around. Sometimes its hard to overcome years of Mathews marketing and hype.
I've shot them at 305fps and didn't have any trouble, they shot right with my field points. They are one of the better flying fixed blades that I've shot. The very best flying fixed blade for me is...
I'm glad to hear that the XLR is shooting so well, as I have one on the way.
I sold it to Archery-Addiction, the last I saw he had it dipped in red and it was for sale. I see Texas 10pt has one, maybe you can work out a deal with him, although it appears that he only buys...
Thats OK, I can wait, enventually he'll sell.
Casey,
I bought your 8" brace height Energy from you, now I think I like this one, let me know when you are ready to sell it!
How is the hand shock, did the brace stay at 6 5/8" or did it change...
I think I will go with the GT500, as was stated previously, 26fps is a LOT.
Thanks...thats what I wanted to know.
When you increase draw length by changing out the Revolution cams, does it affect your peak bow weight?
Has anyone else shot both bows?
Looks great, I like those string colors, that is some impressive speed you were able to gain out of that Z.
I've shot the GT500 and I really like it but I did notice a slight bit of hand shock, nothing serious, but more than my GTO. I won't be able to shoot the XLR prior to buying but for those of you that...
I have shot them both, the Reezen is a nice bow but the Z28 is a LOT better IMO. The vibration on the Reezen is not that bad if you have a string suppressor on it, but its still more than the Z28....
I've had good luck with the Saunders Hyperglyde on a lot of bows and it does provide more clearance for the Z28 but its not enough for Blazers if you are shooting cock vane up. I'm going through the...
I've have weighed them and the Predators weigh 4.5 grains and Blazers weigh 6 grains.
I'm going to try Predators with as much helical as I can put on them.
I've shot Mathews, Hoyt and Bowtechs that I had a hard time getting the right clearance with Blazers. I will say the GTO has plenty of clearance for them though.
