I can't bring myself to deer hunt here in CA when it is 100+ degrees something doesn't seem right. I have to wait until November to deer hunt our farm in IL unless a hunt to Utah for a cow elk works...

Find a shop or friend that has some archery knowledge, I would avoid big box stores for a bow. Check out the classifieds on here and over on Archery Talk you can find some great deals.
