i am looking for a new good hybrid bow, about 29.5-30, 70#. i want to be able to use it in the woods and also use for competition, im looking at the price of 600-800, i was thinking the Hoyt Katera. give me opinions and other options on bows that would be good hybrids, im not worried about weight soooo much, but hopefully nothing over 5lbs. i will be hunting with it also, right now i shoot a hoyt MT sport. :strong:

You definitely came to the right place!

I would seriously take a look and shoot either an Elite GT-500 or the Z28. Another one that doesn't get a lot of talk is the Synergy X. The Elites are the BEST there is!
If you are from Utah, you are welcome to take my Syn X for a ride.....

I've heard the Katera was nice and fast, but you owe it to yourself to try an Elite first. They are sweet, fast and beautiful! From what I've read on here, most like the GT500 for 3-d and the Z28 for hunting., but either will do both. I personally shoot the Synergy XT and love it, but I just hunt, not much 3D around here.

I shoot the GT500 @30" draw72lbs and getting 336fps-339fps with a 355grain arrow. ATA is 34 7/8" and BHis 7 1/2. About an inch shorter ATA than my Vectrix XL and about the same in BH. Is it forgiving yes and is 1-2lbs lighter than my hoyt.
