Been hearing about pearson having such a great line-up for 2009,but the reason for all the hype is because they are using Elites cam design? If it is true---what will make ELITE,elite?:phone::28::noidea:

Well if this is true,,, the answer would be easy... Elite Archery still has it's customer service , Kevin's knowledge of all their designs, and the best builders in America when it comes to archery... We have ELite's name which of course coincides with Quality, dependability, performance and a family type service that can't be beat... heck.,,, It's ALL in the name these days.. Elite means Perfected Excellence! And to me and many others out there. That's just what it is... Person will always be Person , but with now just some of the best parts and components made by ELite...If that's the case anyway..." Believe in Nothing you hear and only half of what you truely see".. :tribe:

If i am not mistaken, kevin is friends with the guy that designed the two trac binary, which so happens to own pearson archery or their desiner and he allowed kevin, well elite the right to use his cam design.Just what i have heard on this deal about the 2 trac binary's if i am wrong some one from elite will buzz in on this:bow:

I saw Richards designs for his cams over two years ago when I was shooting Newberry bows and I also know he is helping out several different companies with cam designs. I won't assume or claim to know everything about anybody but, I tend to believe if ya like what you shoot, be happy & not worry which came first like the chicken or the egg.........
Richard and Kevin are both great minds and designers :thumb:

let'm use it, just makes Elite stronger in the mfg. arena. (a need) at this stage of the game the red line is starting to turn black and (atleast in these parts) i'm not hearing as much chatter with the phrase "Elite won't be around long" in conversations. Elite is filling the consumer need just like Datsun, Toyota and Honda did when they took on the "Big Three". nothing foreign made about Elite, just using the reference mainly for the similarity of mind set to the big 3 bow mfg.

Perhaps Fasstpassthru will visit this thread as I am sure he already has and put an end to the rumors. Last time this was discussed, it was mentioned that the cam designs were developed independent of each other, they just ended up nearly identical.
No big deal. Take a binary cam three track and turn it into a two track, and nearly all designs will look and function alike.

I designed the 2 track system independent of anyone else.

I was just wondering if Pearson is using the same cams as Elite?Royalties are one thing but i think it's ELITES' cams that are making the bows better right now at this stage of the "game":cheer::applause:

you can tell by looking at them they are not the same..........
Maybe the same technology or shared inspiration but, I would not say they are the same. I think Kevin uses some of the best lines in the industry in his designes- no one comes close to the sleek look that Elites have.

richard could not get the 2 trac to work proporly so they let the pat. laps
and elite picked it up and KEVIN changed it and made it work. I think that says it all.

I came up with the 2 track in order to avoid anymore litigation in regards to the Darlington patent. I didn't know then, nor do I know now if Richard ever worked on a 2 track cam system before I developed the cam system.
I know that he supposedly filed a provisional in 05' but abandoned the application which means it goes away as a filing date.
I do know that I filed my patent application before Richard filed his.
That is all I will say about the patent issue and who came up with the cam system.

That's enough said for me. As long as we don't have to worry about another lawsuit deal I'm a happy camper.

I am sorry that Kevin and Elite Archery have had to deal with any lawsuits, but frankly as a consumer I don't "worry" about it, I let the company do that, and I enjoy the product/s (Hoping for a 3rd with a LH Z28 in early '09)
