Well guys.. I finally got the taste of my very first Pop-up tourny against a very good select few that qualified this weekend.. I started out #2 qualifier and shot a first round to beat a guy that shot a solid 54 and then I shot a better 58 where I advanced... THen it went down to the final 4 where I was shooting against #1 where he shot a very solid 58 and then where I thought I'd be shooting a nice conservative round, turned out to me having to sqeeze off a 14, 14, 14, 10, 10 to win with 62... I took first place for my very first Pop- up Tourney with my new Gt500 and got bragging rights in front of all the Bowtech and PSE Prostaff fanboys... Yea haaaaaaa Elite ! Thanks for making me such a great bow...:first:

Congrats!!! Pop-ups are so cool. Im always amazed at how stiff the competition can be at some of these expo shoots that have the pop-ups going.

the set-up I used was perfect for Pop-ups.... a Limb driver for smooth lifting of the arrow and no-nonsense arrow loading and my single pin Pro slider by Vital gear.. Oh and the arrows I chose were CXL 150's by Carbon Express and 80 tips for those line breaking shots,,,. I set the pin at around 20 yards and it hit everything within 25 yards easily at that same adjustment... I would have had some real fun if they had spaced them out a tad further... Maybe next time...

Very cool shooter under fire for sure. Was it beginners luck... I can't see how.
The distances must have all been close to 20 to get so many 14's.. Be carefull at your next one as out West the distances are 15-50 yards.
Very good scores for 5 arrow pop up!!

Elski,,, yea.,.. the distances varied in a slight slant from about 20-30 yards.. It was really easy.,, But lots of fun... I can't wait to do my next 3D POp-up tourney... 15--60 yards would be crazy fun!

If you ever get a chance shoot the Hunting Simulation Pop Up tournaments. Its a regular tour and its by far the best one I have ever shot. Several top gun pros shoot it. Big prizes and money. They had one here last year. I got second in amatuers. Tim Gillingham won the event in the pros. Won around $6000.00 all together. I really enjoy pop up tournaments.

congrats! that sounds like so much fun. is the pop up run by a particular assosiation, IBO or ASA? I would love to try that, but wonder if anything like that is available up here in Michigan.
