They are specially design to go with SUPER fast bow. They are wind tunnel tested to 550fps. You would need a modified jig to fletch it on, it need to be perfectly straight to perform best. So the faster the bow the better it perform. That is also why for longer distance shooting, and when arrow speed drop below 160 fps and you still want it to still perform, you will need to put 1/2 degree helical on it (put more than 1.7 degree, it literally will not fly at all (way too much drag)) It will behave like airplane with low speed; it stalls. It is the hardest and best material ever developed for vane, I should know, one of my degrees is chemist. It glues super well and it even work best among all vanes in Whisker Biscuit due to its design and material. Aerovane II will be out by ATA 2009 and it is mean for ultra high speed and target shooting.
