So, what binoculars are you guys using? I've always used a fairly inexpensive pair of bushnell's from wally world. They get the job done since I hunt mostly in thick woods that you can't really see deer from far away. I was thinking about spending around 200 bucks. I know that's not a lot, but I just can't see spending top dollar when hunting in the east coast thick woods most of the time.

Vortex. I tried...20-30 pairs out...

I could not justify more $ for the high end binos (for my midwest whitetail hunting) and the cheaper pairs...NO comparison.

The Vipers are FANTASTIC.

The best pair of binos in that price range are Vortex Diamondbacks or the Stokes series that have been discontinued. If you would like to look at a pair send me a PM with your mailing address.

Thanks durocab for the offer. I'm such an impulse buyer, but I did do some searchin before I read your post and went with these

Seems like a good buy. Says they are brand new and I read that the tan color just isn't selling for them. We'll see when they get here.

Thanks to all who responded. Seems Vortex is definately the way to go for valued quality.

Yep Vortex!!
I live in the same town as the Vortex headquarters and in fact I work less than 1/2 mile from them. So at lunch some days I have dropped by and talked with a guy there (Tim) and got to try out the various binos.
Great binos and great people to deal with!
