Im scared to use one, I know a guy that missed an opportunity on a elk cause he was trying to get it out of the sling.

sounds like HE got stalked. They work great, but you do need to know when to unsling it!! :)

I know they work good I know of a few that love slings. It was a walkin along, whoa a Elk.
I figure carrying my bow helps keep the GUNS in shape:strong:

Don't get me wrong, the only time mine is in the sling is for the walk in or walk out. When my strid slows to a creep. the only thing holding the bow is the end cups (not looped) and my hand. helps keep the forearm from being tense.
