I just bought 84 clif bars for this hunting season(ebay) and got to thinking what are some things that you all have in your hunting pack? I carry a small first aid kit, fire starter,2 knives, bonesaw, flashlight, pocket bible, space blanket,
lunch, hydration bladder, plastic bags for meat, and extra battery's.

This is a good thread, I actually started getting stuff around for my pack yesterday, I figure if I start now and over the next copule of months I will remember other stuff to go in it and this year I may not forget anything!

In addition to your stuff I have a spare release(yes I have used it b4), rope, camera, and I will keep my binoc's (which don't do much good in the thick woods I hunt, so they usually stay in the pack). I am sure I am forgetting something, but this is a start

Couple Soda's, water, some sort of snack, Matches/lighter, Grunt/bleat/rattles, flashlight(ryobi 18 volt) will stay lit for hours and is VERY bright. GPS, Binocs, scents even though I usually don't use them. Tracking light, rope, and a ton of other stuff. I don't have to walk very far, I step from my ATV directly onto the steps of my enclosed, heated, reclining seat deer stand. The seat is from a conversion van, complete with arm rests.

Oh man we must be related. I am almost the same except I drive the conversion van and just pull off the side of the road, and recline the seat until I see a deer then I whip out the old 12ga. (during bow season of course) and shoot right out the window! Please please please under no circumstances take these comments as serious, I do not need the ethics police nocking on my van door in the middle of the rut!

Was that you in the van, down my the river.:farley:
I carry a knife, a lighter, grunt tube, rattle bag, bino's, rubber gloves, rope and my drag harness, scent eliminating spray, and some type of deer urine. If I'm going out all day I will also bring some snacks, usually jerky or trail mix, and a bottle of water or a pop. Some times a Thermos of coffee.

Most of my hunting is now within a short walk from camp so I only pack what I will need for that hunt.
a couple of drinks, snack, flashlight, flagging tape, knives, scent spray, and back up release. Oh and some soft TP.
I almost forgot the most important things (besides the bow), my camera, video camera, and tripod.

what is jetboil?
Its a camp stove kinda, very light, compact, and the fuel and burner fit inside the cup. I hated carrying a stove, fuel bottle, titanium pot. Boils water super fast so 1 canister last a long time.
