has anyone had trouble with their string serving around the cams. i had to get all my servings redone. it seems like the serving they use is pretty cheap and it wont stay tight together.
It is a known problem....the string company will try to rr you as well.....

The problem may not be the serving. I checked my top cam with a q-tip and found a small burr that kept snagging and cutting the serving.

i checked my cams already and i didnt find any burrs or anything that would snag the serving. i gotta get new strings and cables anyway. does anyone know what they will cost for the 07 synergy?

If you had the brown and yellow stock strings/cables then that is part of the problem. Elite changed late this year to Tom Nealy strings/cables and that problem virtually disappeared. If you order them from Elite, they run $130 for a set. I have them on my Synergy and although a little pricey they are top of the line.

Nealy are top notch. but you can order Winner choice for about $85 bucks. There a quality String also. If you look around there are a few others like Bucknastys and Stony Mt. Dakota all are good. Your bow may of had Vapor Trail. they had some trouble for awhile but are back up to snuff.:D

my bow has the factory yellow and brown string. its supposed to be winners choice 452x and i thought that was the best string on the market but it wore out really fast. i had zebra strings and cables on my hoyt i sold and those strings are still going strong.they have been on it for about 3 years and i shot it a good bit. im not real sure what i want to get. i need some feedback on what everyone else is using.

I have 2 06 E-Forces and they both have the stock yellow and brown stings and I have no problem at all. Alot of hunters lower and raise there bows with a string after they climb which is normal, but when you keep lowering the bow on the cam in the dirt you need to brake it down once in awhile and clean the cams, or better yet buy the Primos bow sling that cover both cams. In my shop I replace alot of stings that did not have to be replaced due to the cams being packed with dirt. Good maintenance is also a big plus...

Kelly, that is a great post. As for my choice of Strings, I like BuckNasty, he does good work at a fair price, and Neeley is good stuff. I do not have any experience with any other, but I am sure they are just as good.

I only had a problem with the center serving. I redid it myself and have had zero problems since.

Those are Vapor Trails if I am not mistaken and several folks have had trouble with them.

Like anything you buy, sometimes you get a bad a one. I guess I have been lucky with mine, no problems so far... I worked on a bow last night and the guy waxed the serving on each end of the bow..What a mess!!! I had to brake it down and clean the cams and everything.......

My understanding was that the 06 models came with Winner's Choice. The 07's had Vapor Trails until later this year when they started using Nealy's.

That sounds right--i've been following Elite closely and will continue to support the BEST archery company i've ever dealt with.I use to think a bow is a bow is a bow, until i drew that e-500 and released the first arrow:eek:;)

I agree with Kelly. Keeping things clean is a very good idea. I hunt in sagebrush type country and the soil can be very sandy. Doesn't take much sand to screw up a string.

Don't usually talk on these forums I mostly like to read all of the great info. But, I will speak up for a great set of strings. I bought a set of Wolfden's this year and was very happy with them. They are great strings and their service is awsome. Had mine shipped to Hawaii in about a week. I'm sure there are many great string companys out there but anytime my bows need new strings, they will be Wolfden's.:)
