A friend of a friend told my hunting buddy to put in for Kansas archery & if drawed he would set us up on where to hunt. Well his son got drawed & he wont help at all. Said he cant belive we got drawed 1st time applying.
So we need info. UNIT #8-thats from Manhattan to Salina & every thing north to Nebreska. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Thats not in my area. But I believe that all permits are good for unit 19. That is my area. Call KDWP and find out if your tag is good for unit 19. If so I will be glad to help as much as posible.
I am on archery talk more than this forum.
Zap, is what I go by there.
Pm me if I can be of assistance.:homer:

All N/R archery permits are good for the unit designated, one adjecent unit, and unit 19. Too many deer where I live. A good problem to have!

Are you looking for public land, or for a pay to play area? I also drew a tag for unit 8. I am hunting with an outfitter but he may have some info to share. I will ask him.

THANKS, 4PnY. We are willing to consider pay to play areas. Any info will be apprecitated. I know it was not so smart to put in & not have a place to hunt, but my buddy's so called friend said if you get drawed just call & I"ll set you up. But now he"s no help & we are left beggin for HELP.

Three 5's I am waiting for a reply from the outfitter on what he knows. I will let you know what he says. Unit 8 is a pretty nice area. Not a ton of deer there but I suppose that depends where you are coming from. Good trophy potential.

4PnY, Talked to JT this week, I think you are hooked up with a great guy, wish I could join you but not this time. Had neck surgery last year & lost alot of work so funds arent there for outfitters. I do think you will be changing your name to 5PnY or HavePnY. Thanks alot & good luck in Kansas

Plenty of public ground in Kansas. Lots of big deer for a lot less than an outfitter. How much did the outfitter want and what was he thinking the outcome would be? Im curious, and have no intention of using one so I dont want to call somebody under false pretense to get info.

Hey Bones1768 the outfitter 4 pny was talking about hunts out of Cuba I think. Seems like a great guy. Has a web site if you want I"ll pm it over, just let me know. We are still scrambling to find out where we want to hunt? m.good has offered to help in area 19. We are looking in unit 7 & 8 also, somewhere around the Republician River. We are trying to move our dates to miss 1st week of Pheasent season. If you have any info we would surelike to have it.
THANKS,

I know JT real well. I sometimes help him put up treestands and shed hunt. His three kids are the exact age as mine and I work at the college that his wife works at. PM me about hunting around here. I live right by the Republican river.
