Nikon or Bushnell rangefinder

Thinking about either the Nikon Riflehunter 550 or Bushnell scout 1000 arc. Anyone have experience with these? Which ranges further on non-reflective targets? Thanks

I cant answer ur question about which ranges farther. But i have friend who bought both of those and ended up keeping the Bushnell. Dont really know why. It might of been a little cheaper.
I bought the leupold rxll for $249 of ebay and i like it a lot. It takes a while for a technology challenged guy like me to learn to use it, but it was a great investment imo.

I have a Bushnell Scout and my son has a Nikon 440. They both work well, my Scout I have to remove the battery in the off season or it will go dead. The 440 measures in half yd. increments and cost less new. Both will fit in a shirt pocket and are very handy. I haven't tried any of the newer models so can't comment on them.

Scablands I have the Bushnell scout also but my battery life is awesome in fact i bought the rangefinder feb 06 and it is still working on the same battery i use it all the time too..

I've got the Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC. Works pretty well most of the time but had a little trouble in brushy situations and had to range the snow covered ground in front of my deer last fall to get a reading. (65 yards) I got the compact Leica 900 after that and I think it's the best one out there. Instant reading (to 985 for me last fall) lit up display, great for low light. Real good glass.

i have the bushnell scout 1000 with arc and it works great. it will read reflective targets out to 1000 yards and non reflective out to 500- 600 yards.
