I am looking at getting a different sight and was wondering what others thought about the fixed mount versus the dovetail mount. Recently I have only bought the dovetail mount because I like to line up my sights by using aligning the round housing with the round peep. When I got a dovetail, I had more room to adjust the sight in order for me to achieve this.
However, most of my shooting is back yard practice with occassional 3d therefore I don't usually have a whole lot of adjusting going on. So, I was thinking about using a fixed mount so as to have a sight with less moving parts and maybe be more of a "rock solid, not going to move" sight that I didn't have to worry about when hunting and climbing in and out of stands.
My only concern is getting one and then not being able to adjust it like I want it once it is mounted.
Specifically looking at the Sword Twilight Hunter in G1 camo to go on my Elite Fire.
Any suggestions/comments on this. Thanks everyone.
