thinking about trying a b-stinger stabilizer out. If anyone shoots either the 8.5" or 12" model please post up your experiences with them. Just trying to figure out what weight disc I would want to go with to put on my GT500. Also what do you think would match best the hd grey or the hd green camo? thanks

I have a 12" 14oz on my GTO and love it. I think the HD Grey matches the G1 best.

I got the 12" with the 11 oz & 14 oz weights. I like the 14 oz. The 3 extra ounces holds me alot steadier.

I bought the 12" 11 oz just last week and shot my first 3/D course this past weekend with it,,, It worked out great and I didnt get tired abit.... The stabilizer worked great.. But my QAD and my sight just weren't quite tunned yet so I scored like a 180 out of 210... Sucked pretty bad when I totally missed a 15 yard Gator,,., LOL... I got my Hogg Hunter finally shooting perfect now and my QAD is finally tuned.. Thank God... I might actually hang with that 65 yr old man that whipped my Arse this past weekend with a 208 near perfect score..:freak:

Just to let you guys know, I ordered it from southshore archery supply and my total bill was $93.50 with shipping. It was the cheapest that I could personally find, and it only took 5 days to show up after I placed the order. It was drop shipped from the b-stinger factory.

Thats a radar dish on the front... this stab is great for spots and 3D not sure about hunting in the brush and woods but going to try it this year. I have lent my spare out to several folks and they have one now... Dont' loan it out if you need in soon.
I have th 8 oz for hunting and used the 8 and 11 but will have to get tough for the 14
I forgot to say the basic design is to maximize the moment of inertia and stay within NFAA BHFS rules. So even the 14 oz weight is less that 12". The idea is to get all the weight out as far as possible so the Radius squared number will be the largest possible. It really doesn't provide nay vibration dampening but the arrow is gone by then anyway.

What I like about it is that it feels like and has the accuaracy of 3 footer, and plus I tell my buddy that if he's not shooting good and someone has a heart attack (joking and hope that never happens) on a 3d course that he could put the disk on their chest and dry fire his bow on them to restart their heart!!

Hopefully tomorrow a truck will show up with a package for me containing an 8 1/2 inch and 11 1/2 inch and an 8 ounce weight and an 11 ounce. I'll mix and match and find out what works best for me. Like everyone has already said, "Blair will treat you so many ways, you'll have to like one of them." He's a real good guy.

Well, my package is here. I've already decided I like the 11 1/2 inch better than the 8 1/2 inch. I'm now debating between the 8 ounce weight and the 11 ounce weight. That doesn't sound like much but it is on the end of a lever and I have a 900 round to shoot Saturday at Recordkeeper's shop. After 90 arrows that extra 3 ounces could prove too many. I'm used to using an S-Coil on my XXL. The 11 1/2 in B-Stinger has way more leverage than the S-Coil even with an 8 ounce weight.

Casey Casanova is one heckuva guy and the epitome of archers helping archers. He sent be a B-Stinger to try and it was a 12" rod (I believe) and two weights which I think were 11oz and 14oz. Today I tried it on my GTO during practice of long range shots of 40 & 50 yards. I first tried the heavy dish and although it helped me hold steadier on the target I could tell it was just a tad too much weight for me. I then put on the 11oz dish. At 40 yards my groups shrank unbelievably. After a few rounds at 40 I moved my target to 50 yards. During the first round at 50 I heard what sounded like a FMJ hitting close next to a previously shot arrow. I finished up and went to retrieve my arrows. Low and behold I had my first Robin Hood at 50 yards. Now I believe RH's are basically luck but having this B-Stinger stab certainly helped tighten my groups and helped make this happen. I definetly shot better groups with this B-Stinger versus my Posten or ACAD stabs. I will have to get at least one and use it for long shots while I'm in Colorado but I don't think I really need one for 20-30 yard shots at whitetail. This stab does help and it is a good product.:2thunbs:

Thanks for the update Texas! Your experience is text book.. ! The B Stinger works because of it's design I'm glad you got try one ... I'm using mine for every thing and although the science says that the 12 " will be a better choice I'm OK with my 8.5" so I can use it in brush, open country and the 3D range. Even with the 11oz disc my Aigil still only weighs in at 6#.. To me the 8.5 is a good compromise especially with the 11oz disk.
I've got a 12" 14oz I'll be using in Redding next year

Actually I screwed it in against the washer in my sling so I didn't feel any vibration at all. With results like I was getting It certainly made me get over the looks of the dish on the end of the rod LOL It is one fine product.:thanks: for everyone's advice on this stab.

I have found the best thing to dampen the vibration is a bronze 1/2 inch lock washer from Ace Hardware. It is a very tight press fit around the bushing and gives a bigger base to tighten the stabilizer against. With the stock bushing in the riser you will have vibration. Talk with Blair and he will explain it to you. I have discovered the solution.

I fully get the concept and engineering makes sense, but wow, little more than I thought & would like to spend on a stab., especially for a hunting bow.

I appreciate the money concern. It seems to me the shots we take with our hunting bows are even more important than the shots we take with our tournament bow. The B-Stinger on a tournament bow results in higher scores but the B-Stinger on a hunting bow, especially when the broadhead wants to magnify our bad shots, can result in keeping the arrow in the effective kill zone. There is a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee that if the B-Stinger does not perform better for you than any other bowhunter class stabilizer you have ever shot, we will buy it back. The price may be too expensive for an ordinary stabilizer, but would it be worth the price if it actually performs as well as advertised?

I would say if you put 8-17 ounces on the end of any rod you will hold steadier as very few stock stabs run that much end weight.
The Bstinger is well made. And now I got a meat pounder for my Chicken parmasean recipe.:chef:

I really like giving more credit to the shooter in most cases but this stab is helping me shoot tighter groups it seems. I think there are very few products that really deliver what they are supposedly designed to do but so far I tend to believe that the B-Stinger concept does indeed work as I am seeing results. I also think that the STS and other's like it also perform up to the standards it was meant to accomplish. Cudos to Blair and his B-Stinger.

I'll tell you what Jay. I have three Posten's and I really like them too. But as far as helping tighten your groups (for me anyway) the B-Stinger makes it easy where as I have to work with the Posten to get off the same shot. Blair really explained the physics to me yesterday but having shot with one on Sunday I could already confirm what he was telling me what would happen. ccasanova sent me one to try out and I like the 11oz weight the best. The pin moves slowly over the target because of the weight and really helps you make a good shot. The shooter must also get some credit though because even with the Stinger the bow obviously doesn't shoot itself. In my mind it is a great product and really helps. You are more than welcome to try mine when I get it.
