Me and my friend are saving up to buy GTO'S..., but I have always used single cams. I understand the issue of tuning the bows and checking tuning for accurancy and speed and such. My friend has a bowtech tribute binary cam, we have no idea how to tune it!
I have a regular bow press, have heard about draw boards but never seen one or know how to use them... If we were to buy new GTO'S how the **** do we tune the cams? Do we need a draw board? How to Make? Where are the messurments taken? I mean are we still talking tiller, tuing space, cam rotation, sycn?
I want to get the bow, but if I can tune it i won't be able to have it, there is no body that i can go to around here that knows jack! I have always tuned my single infinity cam, binanry I'm lost...Help guys. I don't want to be spending 100.00 and having to send the thing to somebody like crackers and being on a waiting list everytime I need a tweak...

not hard at all really,,, The drw boards are just made for setting the drawstops with ease,,, That way you actually watch the drawstop hit where it's supposed to when at full draw at your desired draw,,,

If you're from Tennessee, there is someone around there that knows Jack, he knows Fred too. :D I imagine he'll be along shortly.

You are going to want the bow in spec A to A and BH and have 80% letoff. The draw board will let you see when the stops will touch the cables. You actually want them to be very close (1/16 inch away) from the cables when the draw stop post hits the limb. I think the draw board , press and scale that shows letoff are the most important tools for the Binary cams. Look at Dave Knowlins post in the general archery section. He can explain it much better than me.

How you tune these bows is very simple. (1) begin by going to the general section (2) read the post about supertuned (3) if you still have questions PM me.

There's also a post a bit further down on draw boards with a bunch of pics, I'm getting ready to make one myself. What we are talking about is "supertuned", a bow that is setup by a regular pro shop doesn't usually do this. This is just a matter of fine tuning the bow so as to get the maximum efficiency, they will still shoot fine without this as I expect not many people or shops for that matter go to the trouble of "supertuning".

Sledge hammer, hacksaw, and grinder are all REQUIRED tools to tune your bow properly. If things get real bad, you will need a TIG welder, but I've only needed that once or twice.:D

Dremel works also for fine tuning;)

Actually gravel tuning is a very effective way as well. At least it feels good for a moment. :D
