Okay, I know there is a chrono war going on and this will be debated left and right as to true speeds, but I just picked up the September Bowhunt America issue. On page 45 there is a side by side comparison of the BT 82nd and 101st. The 101st has a similar BH to the GT500. So I think a comparison of MY PERSONAL hunting bow and the author's test bow would be nice.
101st 29" @ 70lb BARE STRING IS MY ASSUMPTION
348 grain arrow 325 fps
425 grain arrow 295 fps
My GT500 29" @ 70lb with peep, string loop and string jax
350 grain arrow 328 fps
425 grain arrow 300 fps
If we want a fair comparison then I think apples to apples (similar BH, weight, DL, etc..) would be nice. Except my apple was handicapped with all the "real life" accessories that most of us use.
What do you think?
