This is not an albino but a white whitetail....You can tell by the pigmented eyes.

There used to be a couple of white does where I grew up. I always wondered if there was a buck to match . Never did see one though. Coonhunters shot the two does.

That's funny, in our paper this morning there was a pic of a guy that shot a very nice 8 that looked like about a 17 in. spread that could be this deers twin. The paper said it was a ten but not from what I could see. It's really odd to see two mature piebalds in the same day. What's up with that.

Awesome... The area I hunt has produced a nice 10pt white buck too! I'll try to get a pic to share. I think they said it was 20" wide.

we have a white deer population here in NY in the senica region. might get trashed and displaced for develpement.

we had an albino mule deer here in colorado. It was a real nice buck and suprisingly died of natural causes. the buck was found and mounted by the division of wildlife. that is a nice whitetail, hope somone mounts it. It should be displayed even though it was hit by a car.

I think superstition around here is that it is Very Bad Luck to kill a white deer. Come to think of it, Hitting one with a car doesn't sound all that lucky to me.

Where I grew up we had bears that were white like that called Kermode bears. There aren't many, and they were like the town mascots lol. No one was allowed to kill them just because they're so rare, but of course, some a**hat had to go shoot it. lol. And bowbuster, I think the natives around here also say that shooting the while or albino animals is really bad luck.
It's a shame, I like the big racks as much as anyone else but sometimes ya just let some things slide

I would love to kill an albino buck. It would be an awesome mount.
Indin lore , however , says that to kill an albino is bad luck. I wonder if it's true??

Native peoples in many American Cultures have consistently regarded the White Deer to be a spirit, typically that of an ancestor or benevolent soul transfigured from human form.

The Piebald is respected, by many Amerind cultures, as a spirit in the process of transforimg to or from the spirit world.

I would like to think I would let one pass but where I live a gun hunter would take him out in a NY minute.

Some rare things are worth just watching in my opinion and a photo to me would be just as good as saying I shot it.
