I have a GT500 on order and I'm trying to decide on a sight. I have a extreme RT900 on my E-500 right now and I'm not really happy with it. I think I've got it narrowed down to the Spott Hogg seven deadly pins sight, or the Copper John Dead Nuts 2 6 pin sight. I want a 6 or 7 pin sight, I've never heard anything but good from these 2 companys and was wondering what you all think, and maybe get some other suggestions I might have overlooked. Thanks.
Sword. For the money (cheaper), they are every bit as good as Spott-Hogg, and I was a die-hard Hogger, before trying the Sword!

Sword... I had the spothogg ther nice but hard to see even with the wrap.
The Sword is the brightest and just as well built. another thing once its set it doesnt move. My spothogg use to move alittle on me.

For a pin sight I dont think any compare to the Spot Hogg. Way better adjustments.

spot hogg is a little heavy but if you dont mind the weight there great! i bought a viper sight and used 6 .019 pins and 3 .010 pins for longer yards. they also have a bigger level which helps shooting 70+.
One more comment. My Sword with .10 pins is brighter than my Real Deal with wrap and .19 pins...

I love the Sword Twilight Hunter and the G1 matches, too. The Spott-Hogg may have more precise or easier adjustment, but the price, quality, and construction of the Sword are tops. Mine is very bright and solid and the adjustments are plenty easy for me. I don't know if I will ever switch from Sword.

I was looking at the viper sights but the fiber is routed the same way as the extreme sights and that's where 2 of my fibers broke. I haven't really looked at sword yet. I take it nobody likes Copper John?

I like both the Spot Hogg and the Sword, can't go wrong with either one! If you decide on a Hogg get it wrapped.

I BOUGHT THE 08 MODEL DN2 SUPREME SIGHT FOR MY GTO AND HAVE REGRETTED IT EVER SINCE, THEY STATE 0 PIN GAP, BUT THAT ISN'T POSSIBLE ON THE NEW SIGHTS. CALLED THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AND THEY KEPT GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND....I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF THE PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN!

Copper johns fiber is no good IMO.
Swords great sights, strong fiber, one of the few to offer .010, but Spot hogg adj. are just so precise, I dont like the allen screw indiv pin adj/gang adj that most use.

got a spott-hog (wrapped w/sun shade) & a sword=like the adj on the hogg ,like the options on the sword. They will make your sight how ever you want. Mine's top pin 29-bottom 4-19, you can choose color of each pin & size.

The customization available from Sword is a major upside.

I had a HHA Optimizer Lite about 3 years ago, it had the brightest pin I've ever seen. I had to have rheostat cover the pin or it would be TOO bright. What's the farthest you have sited it in for? I want to at least be able to get out to 80 yds. Thats why i want to go with a 7 pin sight. First pin at 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.

At the risk of sounding dumb, I have a question. I haven't used a multi-pin slider like the HHA and Viper. Can someone explain to me how you use them? I mean, once you sight in at 20, 30, 40. Then when you use the slide to move the housing and get 50, wont you have to move the pins again to go 60 and 70? Sorry if this is confusing.

Use 20 30 40. then slide the bottom pin. now your 40 is 50. slide it again now your 40 that was 50 is now 60 and so on. You cant use all three pins with out making the gap wider. only use the bottom pin like it was a single pin slider for the extra yards.
You can make a mark so you can slide all three for 25 35 45 and be pretty close.

When I had a 3 pin slider I had mine set at 30-40-50. But I had a sight tape on it so the top pin could be set from 20-100.
I figured huntin I would leave the top pin at 30, so I had 20-55ish covered with no adjustment by gapping, if I was given time and a exact range Id adjust the top pin exact.

SWORD all the way. You can get as many pins as you want with whatever size pins and colors you want. Mix and match. Twilight Hunter is what you need to look at......:hail:

I have the old Twilight Hunter from '07 and love it. What are the advantages to the newer style?

2 differences from my 2 are. I have last years model also. The new has the 3rd axis adjustment and it weaves the fibers on the block instead of running it down the sight bar.

I have the Sims Prism sight with the new style pins. It is a very well built sight, with strong pins that completely cover the fiber. I also just got the MBG Ignite sight...overall very impressed...bright sight with thin steel pins.
