hey there guys i built a small man cave last summer (12' X 16') for storage and archery and all that good stuff but i need something to put on the floor that will hold up and look pretty good at the same time. i have OSB on the floor now and i want to put something down over it because there are insulated door panels below the OSB. any suggestions please, Lee

linoleum but not the sheet kind,,, use the squares,, if you crack one just pop it out and replace it,,, or ceramic tile is nice if you want to go the expensive route.

I love that sticky feeling on the bottom of my shoes LOL!
Really I say some tongue and groove laminate flooring. It is pretty easy to do it yourself, and not too expensive, unless you need something fancy and then I say your crazy, because its just going to end up like Vhunter said it was going to :thumb:

well i done got you beat there guys. i already have spilled beer and peanut shells:drunk: i havent really thought about the tiles or the laminate theres a place i know that sells laminate really cheap!! though that might work out perfect. i will try to get you guys a pic up to show what its like, but keep in mind i am a barber not a carpenter so dont make fun. i also have satellite tv out there for UFC fights and ball games and such. my friend gave me a roll of rubber about 3/32" thick but it has like a hand hole in it every 2 or 3 feet so that wouldnt be very good for coverage either.

A lot of people use industrial rubber tiles here. They have a groove so they lock together and you lay then with silicon. The floor doesn't have to be perfectly level...it's REALLY tough stuff, easy to clean...doesn't really scuff or tear...and it's nice on the back if you stand in there a lot.
Oh...and it's at least a LITTLE forgiving if you ever pass out and hit the ground stiff. :)
Carpet Tile (squares), same principle as vinyl, easy to replace small sections (spills, tears, etc), but warmer and quieter then vinyl...

That could work...just get quite a few spares. For some reason anyplace I've seen that uses carpet squares seems to look like a patchwork quilt after a few years. If you have spares at least they'll match. :)

I saw on the net a while back a guy who covered his walls with old arrows...

its a mancave not a bathroom redecorated by queer eye for the straight guy,
just put in a big chew and spit on the floor a couple thousand times and it will be stained wood.

Laminated flooring looks good, stands up to pretty much anything and is easy to put down.

there is a new laminate out made by DuPont, it is made with green treated backing. I bought it from a local Home Depot. kinda cool patterns, looks like a mix between tile and brick

my goodness guys you are so much easier to get ideas from than the people at AT all they want to do is fight and bicker amongst each other. i thank every one of you for your ideas but i should have mentioned that i cant use carpet it destroys my allergies. i took all the carpet inside my house out and now i love not sneezing and coughing all the time.
Slugger i dont chew but i have a few friends who would take me up on that in a heartbeat!
Slugger is only one step up the evolutionary chain form cro-magnon man, so I wouldn't expose your family to him just yet there mud...

A cave is supposed to have a rock floor. How about crushed limestone. If it gets too dirty you can shovel it out and replace it.:p

just put in wall to wall sand.... that way if any of your buddies get drunk and "accidently" pee on the floor your covered... and you can call it beach night that way the chicks would HAVE TO wear bikinis... but hey that's just my thoughts on it:homer:

The only problem with that plan is sand fleas might take up residence.

That makes about as much sense as dogs chasing cars. They couldn't drive them if they caught them.
