It seems like nobody uses Muzzy's with their Elites, why not? At 50 yards shooting 270fps with my old bow, it shattered bone and passed through.

with my last bow muzzys were so bad i went through three packs trying to find 4 that grouped well enough to shoot them at 70yds i ended up getting my deer at 84 but its too much of a pain... they do go through bone well ill give them that. also i tuned my arrows for the muzzys and used blazers. ill just go with slick tricks now they shoot great.

Wow , thats odd, i've got 7 Muzzys and I slice fletchings off if I shoot groups, not just one or two, here and there

I have shot the Muzzy 4 blade in the past, don't know yet how they are going to fly out of my souped up slayer yet,, we will see...

I've shot 3 blade and mx-4s, only difference is the 4's shoot about 2 inches higher, haven't tried them with my Syn. yet

I won't touch them. Best of the Mushys, I mean Muzzys are the mx-4's. STILL, they don't fly well for me, not at all like my ft's, and I've seen too many real world issues with their durability. I needed to use 5 inch feathers for decent flight...still not that great. I had one that even got bent up in my foam target.

I like an inexpensive head, don't get me wrong, but I like to trust my equimnet too. Nothing about them makes me feel warm and fuzzy and TRUST shooting them at a once in a lifetime deer. I'll shoot any head that flys straight, is quiet and cuts well. I see no reason to switch.

But hey, shoot what works.

I've been shooting the 3-blade 100 grain muzzy for years with no problems:soapbox:

Never had a problem with 3 blade 100grain muzzy. Fly great at 60 yards

Now I do know that if you shoot ur actual sharp blades they will bend and cause it to fly poorly after a while. I use the practice blades to set my bow up then put a set of sharp blades on to ensure same impact.

I shot them a long time ago, didn't care much for them much as far as durablility and grouping. I haven't tried any of the new ones but there are too many other good heads on the market for me to go back and try again just for the heck of it. Shot Tekkens then Montecs now I have some Silver Flames for this year. If they shoot great for you then I say go for it.

I took a pack of Muzzy's and a pack of STs with me to Bracketville for my Buffalo hunt. I got decent groups out of the Muzzy's, but not as good as the ST's... Slick Tricks all the way for me, for now...

Thanks guys for the input. I have heard in the past that they do not work well with faster bows. I e-mailed them before I bought my Syn. with the same inquiries. Absolutely awesome people to work with. Been thinking about the Slicks or Montecs, I always like to try new stuff. People around here either shoot Muzzy's or the Rage. I am not a fan of Mech. broadheads, just one more thing to go wrong at the critical moment. I shot my Muzzys at all the little garden raiders last summer with nary a bent blade, guess my old bow wasn't as fast as the Elites, I just sharpened the blades and went hunting. I'll have to find some people around here that have the other brands and try some out along side my Muzzy's.

Myself I shoot theWASP BOSS BULLETS and the leave awsome blood trails, group awsome out to my max pin of 60 yds. But the one thing that makes me trust them is that from our shop there is only a few that will with stand the 55 steel drum test! And we test alot! The Boss Bullet can pass thru 4 to 5 times without breaking a blade off! Just wanted to pass that along...Oh my bow is shooting a 380gn. arrow @62lbs. 305fps and the LP helps with the ELITES I own!!

I had great sucess last year with muzzy, but I am going to shoot traditional next year and shooting the g 5 montech. A friend of mine came over and we tested the 125 gr montech against muzzy 4 blade, rage 2 blade and the trophy ridge undertaker. My compound shoots 296 fps, and the g 5 blew our mind. It flew perfect, and hit like a ton of bricks. It flew better than any of the others and the groups were incredible. Once you learn how to sharpen them you can get them scary sharp, and If I hunt any with my compound the g 5 will be on my arrow. With the performance we got whats the point of shooting a mechanical head.

Guess I'm one of the hunters that swears by the Muzzy's. I've used mostly the standard 4 blade 90 & 100 gr heads with great success. Went to the 75 gr 3 blade last season for more speed out of my Synergy and took a doe and an eleven point (140's) buck. They all perform flawlessly. No wiggle, no corkscrewing, etc., and the performance thru the animal was excellent. Tried the Slick Tricks and wasn't impressed. I've been bowhunting for around 32 years, (I'm 67 years old), and I have never used a mechanical, or, except for the Slick Trick, one of the new "chopper" type blades. (i.e. MX-4.) I think it is just that hunters now either don't know how to tune their bows or expect instant perfection. Also, I practice using last years blades that often do become somewhat deformed. Never noticed a difference in the flight and impact of them over the new blades I put in after practicing. Oh, my arrows were moving along at 310 fps at 65#. (354 gr, 28.75" dl, 65#) I once took an obviously bent 4 blade Muzzy that wobbled when spun and shot it from 40 yds. It flew straight and true. I was using 5" vanes at that time though. Haven't tried that with the Blazers, or the Predator's I'm switching to this year. Just my experience.

Thank you HH, just what I needed to hear. I shot alot of rabbits last summer with my Muzzy's. Sharpened the blades and went Whitetail hunting. Got a doe opening morning and my P&Y buck a couple weeks later. I am frugal so if they bend I straighten them, buying all new this year and I am gonna try the MX series again. Just don't know if I should go 3 or 4 blades

The fifty yard shot was at a 2-1/2 year old doe. Even with the wind I hit her. Shoulder blade, she squatted to jump coming out of a ditch. The killing arrow and broadhead was used to take my buckola
