The Detroit Pistons start the Conference finals tonight. I am pretty pumped up about it. NBA basketball gets kind of boring, but I do enjoy watching the Pistons in the playoffs. If they can keep focused then they will be ok.

Red Wings are playing for a championship too.

Now if only the Tiger's didn't suck so bad.

Go pistons and go wings. I just don't get the Tigers, they should be way better. well at least the Yankees have a higher pay roll than us.

Could this be the year of the lions. I doubt it.

i can say a repeat of kobe being a spoiled brat...pissed cause he aint gettin enough shot opportunities and the other guys pissed cause he's a ball hog.

i think he needs to be knocked down another notch still...not saying he's not a good player just more of a "me me me" kinda player

The lack of a player like this is what makes the Pistons/Spurs matchup so boring.

I mean for God's sake the Piston's leading scorer (Rip Hamilton)only averages 17.3 ppg 4 players average over 10pts a game and 9 average 7 ppg or more. 5 players average 3 assists or more per game. And they play defense. A very unselfish team.

Yah, I missed all of that dominance. No team will ever have a Dyansty in and sport on any level like that again.

Heck my Pistons are pretty near the Buffalo Bills of the NBA. With our lonely Championship in 2004 (We beat the Lakers sorry Karbon) and our Finals defeat in 2005 (To you guys' Spurs) We have been losers in the conference championship pretty much through the 2000's

What about the great games of the bad boy era. First they had to get by Larry bird and the Celtic, some great games played, still can't get over Isiah throwing the ball to Bird. Then it was Magic and the Lakers. Those were the games that got me interested in basketball.

But you were properly to young to remember those games. Thanks for making me feel old.

honestly I can vaguely remember the Bad Boy era, back before Rodman was a nut job. But my true early memories of the NBA are Michael Jordan and the dominant Chicago Bulls(which I was not a fan of, and I do personally think the best all around player ever was 1 of 3 players Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, or Bob Cousy) Not Michael Jordan. Jordan was the best scorer ever, but not all around ball player.

It did get exciting towards the end.
