3/d, indoor spots, going to give Field archery a try this year. I think I can find a old slow piecer of a bow to play there game. :D J/kidding. A really heavy arrow and 60lb Extreme XL turned down to 55lbs should do the trick nicely.

I have been competing in 3-d since it first began.I probably would not have gotten into it as seriously as I did had it not been for my son who started shooting at the age of 6 and couldnt wait for the sunday morning shoot. Now at the age of 22,he turned out to be a much better shooter than the "old man"ever was.I also shoot indoor in the winter leagues to stay in shape for 3-d.

If it is competition, I will be there. I think I am going to hit the 3D ranges pretty hard this year. I was asked to shoot for a couple of manufacturers so I must be improving. I guess I will try my hand at some nationals this year.

I shoot 3-D and Tech. Mostly in Ohio some in PA. and at one place were we shoot it's kinda Military style. You have to sit for some targets, bend over, shoot through a black 12" drain pipe 10' long. Through tires, various elivations, v's in trees there is alot of obsticales to shoot through. It really is alot of fun though, just use old arrows!!!!!!!

I shot it for the first time in Pa., this past summer. Yes it's well worth the price if you just want to have a good time with some friends. I didn't know what to expect, but thought it would be like any other 3D event but it wasn't. Don't go with the mindset to shoot a great score and come away a winner. They keep score but it's not very well policed or organized for that matter. There is a running scoreboard that shows everyone's score as they are handed in, problem with that was there was this guy sitting there waiting for all the scores to be turned in and I watched him fill out his card at the table and turn it in right before the deadline. He blew everyone away. :( Anyway, we had 9 guys take a road trip and had a ball, the course was a bit too easy IMO. The African side was mostly 25-30 yards whereas the other side was much better. You get a pin if you exceed 1000 points and another if your top three. They do have some nice door prizes and there was a ton of kids at our one, that was great to see.

i live in pa and was going to go to it until i heard how much it cost then i was like im not paying that much just to shoot at 100 targets. i opted to go to my clubs shoot instead on labor day weekend and shoot 80 targets which is 4 courses for $12. you can do it in 2 days or shoot it all in one.its a nice shoot for all the bigger the club is. the are starting to get more rinehart tragets now so that makes it nice to.its also easier on the hands to pull out the arrows.

Guess that depends where you are, a local club in our area gets $15 for 25 targets :(

Went two years ago and had a ball, it is a really great shoot. Hot as anything though, it was 96 in the shade  Don't think I'll make that one this year though, gonna stay closer to the east coast.

I shoot as a staff shooter for our dealer around here.
I live for 3D, and indoor, getting into spots, and will be shooting field and FITA some this year as well, because I too love the long range stuff.
I got out of archery for a few years, and when I got back into it, I really got hooked again. Then I started competing, and was picked up as a staff shooter for the shop. They handed me my first Synergy to compete with, and to help promote the new line of bows, and that was all she wrote. I eat sleep and breathe Elite and competing now, and can't stop promoting the bows.
Nothing else even comes close.
There's 5 of us on "Team Elite", and we're adding a 6th very good shooter this year as well. We had a great year last year, and expect an even better year in '08.
As more of these bows are finding their way into the hands of capable shooters, there's Hoyt, Mathews, and Bowtech blood getting spilled all over the podium.
And it's only getting better...

I will be shooting a bit of everything this year. I shoot 3D the majority of the time but I have gotten into indoor spot shooting a bit more here as of late. I am hoping that the Extreme XL turns out to be a shooter cause if it is I am hoping to do some damage this year.
I shot 3-D as a teenager, and have been wanting to get back into it. But, from what I've found, it's going to be a heckuva drive to find something close!
Anyone have a website that gives 3-D Tourney schedules?

I shoot mainly 3-d... I always bow hunted, but didn't shoot much besides sighting in during college. I had a few buddies convice me last year to shoot all of the IBO's... I took a 4th @ the Indoor World... 3rd overall in the National Triple Crown... and 8th @ the worlds in Anderson ... all with my Synergy. I love my '07 Synergy... I havn't decided yet to just keep shooting the '07 or get an '08 Elite.
