Happy Earth Day 2012 and...

Alright, like most of you, I really dont give a crap about Earth Day either...but while I have your attention, Id like to address something we are all far more familiar with, something we're all guilty of, and something I'd like to change from this day forward. Im talking about the term 'treehugger' and all it implies...

We as hunters/outdoorsmen often use the word to bash Peta fags and hippies and environmentalists, etc... We use the word in a very negative manner but I say NO MORE! Where do we hunt? Where do turkeys roost? Rhetorical question...trees! Ok, you see what im getting at?...I love trees, I need trees, im a fn treehugger! We should all be treehuggers and work together to change the way the word is percieved.


Im not saying to stop bashing the Peta or AR dip****s...im all for it. And if you can get away with physically assualting one, I say go for it! Curse em out, call em every bad name in the book, whatever...but lets move away from calling them treehuggers. We dont need to associate trees and treehuggers with anything remotely gaylike.:thumb:

The term "tree hugger" actually comes from a group of villagers who clung onto trees to prevent deforestation of their village way back in the day and ended up getting slaughtered for their cause. Imagine that...I actually remembered something from school. :scratchhead:

I highly doubt that any of today's "tree huggers" are worthy of the title. I would venture to say that none of them have the intestinal fortitude to give their life for their cause. They want to live to see tomorrow so they can pour their organic coffee into a recycled cup and drive to work in their smart car. JMO
