this bow was built for accuracy not speed, I can handle 300+ fps. with a silky smooth draw anytime!:)

Kevin posted this earlier...

""I set up a 60# 29" XL and with a 400 grain arrow the bow shot 282 fps."

 Michael, use your computer program and crunch some numbers......

The speed calculator says low range 273fps to high range 283fps, with those specs. Going off of the bow Kevin shot, he is closer to the 330fps IBO rating.
Now the birth certificate that says 310fps, that is on the low end.

I am coming up with about 305 with your X7 setup, if I remembered everything correctly. I may have a few things a little out of whack, but worst case scenario you would still be at about 300.

For comparison I ran it at 60# with a 400 grain arrow and it came out to 287 fps. I would say that is very much in line with what Kevin got (282). So if I am off by 5 fps on the first calculation that backs up the 300, because I am 5 fps off of what Kevin got.

Man, that just makes the wait worse.
Shure hope mine gets here soon.
AT, flat black limbs ( Ninja )

We also deduct 4-5 fps of our rating for a 60# peak. The rating for an XL 60# 29" draw is 302-312 fps, so I think your bow is pretty close to top end.

Michael,
Thanks, I was hoping you would help. After talking on the phone, I see where the performance loss was. You are a credit to the Engineer profession! Perhaps I'll get you one of thise nice pocket pencil holders for Christmas!
BTW, It I shoot an XL in the Southern Hemisphere, is it better to use left helical due to the coriolis effect?

Kevin,
You got some great Elite supporters here on the forum.....Michael is a guy you need to take care of!

After doing all of the technical calculations, I have come to the conclusion that toilet swirl direction has no direct effect on arrow flight, but if you ask this question on AT you will get a reversed answer.

At times, it seems like things go down the drain in both directions over there! If I added "Bowtech" or "Mathews" to the equasion...........Counter rotation cavitation could be induced! Either way, it would end up down the drain!!
