Elite Community Bashing At

i was on the elite boards today and there are so many posts of elite huggers bashing at forums and mods.plus they were saying how no one here wants the elite stuff posted on at because the elite bows are going to take over..i personally feel that is such a false statement and all bows and the people that shoot whatever model and company are welcome here...i think whatever bow is right for you is what you should be shooting..as archers were all in this together so why all the crying???arent we all adults..anyone that says a certain bow is going to take over is dillusional and needs pshyciatric help...its all opinion..i love bowtech but that doesnt mean hoyt mathews and pse arent great products either...i guess what im getting at is what do all of you think about elite boards bashing at...i think if thats what there going to do then theres no place here for them but again my comments are just opinion..i dont think elite will ever bump bowtech mathews hoyt or pse but that doesnt mean they dont have a good product so why bash at and the bows we as archers shoot on here...just wanted to get everyones opinion thanks for reading......

I read that too. It seems he didn't want any members of the Elite board to be able to post on AT anymore. I don't think that will happen. Recordkeeper and I are friends. Even though he is a BowTech dealer, I believe he has some interest in Elite bows. I handed him the Synergy I had in my hand at Vaportrails booth this past January. He admired it and told me it was the first Elite he had seen and appeared to be a very well built bow. We have spoken over the phone since then many times and Elite has been brought up more than once. He is a very level headed nice guy.

For whatever reason he has an axe to grind with me over the Elite thread fiasco last week.He told me then that he was an Elite dealer so what gives?He did not like me asking repeatedly why the first thread was moved to begin with.I also got no answer as to why either.He jumped me again this week for questioning one of the golden boys on A.T. I do not respect anyone that has authority and an agenda and personally i think he fits this category.He was quite quick to try and shut me up with the old "I will put you on vacation line".Like my life would change without A.T.I did fine without it for 43 years.For me the best solution is to ignore all threads and simply not post in public but use the pm option.If i knew him personally i might have a different view but from my interaction on A.T. I really wonder what his agenda is.Dave i will have to take your word for him being a reasonable guy but that is not my impression and like i said this could simply be an internet perception.

if he doesnt like what we post here

I've had some dealings with RK and found him to be reasonable and helpful. With this said I think that a mod on a forum, especially one as visited like AT, is a horribly thankless job. I would hate to do that, you would always, everyday, be pissing someone off. I went to a shoot once in Pa and shot with a guy and we got to talking and conversation turned to AT. He tells me his name on AT then looks at me and says, "your not Doc are you, cause if you are we're probably gonna fight". Luckily I wasn't (he was bigger than me :p), but he was pissed cause Doc had to call him on something that he didn't agree with, and blah, blah, blah. Same ole, same ole. Just think they have a tough job and for the most part they do a great job.

Recordkeeper called me while I was eating supper. We talked a little about the deal today. Recordkeeper has been a little out of pocket. He has been in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a federal auditor. I think most of you would really like Chris if you got to know him. I attended a field shoot his shop hosted the fall. I shot in a twosome with Recordkeeper and will gladly do so again any time I get a chance. In his position over there as Administrator he sometimes has to make some tuff calls. I don't envy him even one little bit. It's easy for us to criticize moderators and administrators on web sites, but they have tough and thankless jobs to do. I thank them for the efforts they make.

I became an Elite dealer very early on...I'm thinking probably April or May of 2006. I did try to place an order, but was told at that time that I would have to pay before the bows were built and shipped. At that point in time, there was some evidence in the archery world that this would be too big a risk for a struggling little archery store to take.

You can check my posts here and on AT...you'll see I have always said that Elite bows are very well designed and built. Now that things at Elite have stabilized, I will be placing an order probably in January. I'm hoping there will be a nice selection available in left handed models so I can shoot one myself if I decide to shoot some 3D this year.

To me, the true advantage of a speed bow is to be able to shoot decent speeds at lower poundage. I never shoot any bow over 54 pounds. My shoulder just won't let me. (I broke my left arm right below the ball of the shoulder in a football injury...the same injury left that shoulder both dislocated and separated...and the fracture was compound. I had a very skilled surgeon, but really need to have the pins removed and some other residual problems corrected.)

As for the thread on AT that precipitated this thread here...yes, we are not going to tolerate members who create alters for the purpose of causing discontent among members. He was banned by one of our moderators, and after I do some research later tonight his primary account will probably be locked down too. But I digress, as it is my policy not to discuss AT business on other sites. When I come here, I want to have fun and forget about work!:p

Ive seen a lot of post that I didnt agree with. I just dont read them. Keeps me happy and doesnt stir up flak. Some people live to fuss and argue...online.
