After getting my string twist thing straightened out (my own ignorance) I got her tuned up and shooting well.

Today I got to shoot a full 5 spot round with it at the local indoor range and she shot 300 46X. I had a blast shooting the bow cause it just wanted to pound the X ring. I only dropped 5X in the first 2 ends but got tired and faded in the 2nd half when I started dropping x's out the bottom. Anyway, not bad for basically a hunting set-up and it has to be one of the best shooting bows I've ever owned in my 38 yrs. of shooting. If the pin is anywhere near the X when the release breaks, it's AUT O MATIC!! I love my Z28 but the Answer is catching up FAST! :dance3:

If anyone has any doubts about this bow, trust me, it is a sweet shooting rig!

Now, I want a Tour for a dedicated spot bow. :shooting:

I'm glad you got the string thing figured out.
Nice shooting also. That's a great round with a hunting bow.

I'm very impressed with the bow. It just seems so forgiving like it has an X seeker built in.

Once I blue printed my strings and gave up trying to get the weight to peak at 6 1/2" and just let it end up somewhere below 7" like Dick at Elite said, it worked out fine. I only needed 3 twists in the cables to get max weight up and 1 twist in the string to keep draw right and it peaked at about 6 3/4" so I just left it. I could maybe mess with it a little more but obviously it's shooting great.

Great to hear. I had fun shooting mine at the Winter Cam Classic this weekend. That is the most shooting I have been able to do in awhile.

I got to take her outside today and do a little longer range shooting. There was a decent R to L breeze and I had to "walk" my groups up with my sight elevation cause my bottom pin was down as far as it could go. 70 yds is about all I could squeeze out of it even aiming at the large top dot on the bag.

Here's my 3 groups from 70. I made a little elev. adjustment each time. Decent for a hunting set up I think.

You could shoot over 100 yards easy with groups like that. You just need a pin for it. CBE TEK Hunter!!

I've been looking at those since they were brought up here and I'm just about ready to pull the ol trigger finger on one. I have an HHA on my Z but it's big and bulky. I had a CBE at one time and sold it. :(

I can shoot out to 100 but I'll have to shoot across the road. Good thing it's a dead end. :)

I don't think it's ethical to shoot at game out past about 50 yards or so. To many bad things can happen.

I see no problem with it if you are 100% confident in your equipment and ability. I've shot a couple animals at 100 yards and they died just the same as if they were 20-30 yards. If you move down south or just here long enough you start learning about Kentucky windage, which is a scientifically proven way of shooting. ;) It gets a bit tricky when winds get above 30mph but it's definently doable.

That might be it. If so I still prefer the Tek Hunter, just like a regular dovetail. That looks like a Sniper n Tek Hunter smacked together. Can't tell from my phone but the multi pin head appears the same also. Was hoping they would move the pins so they are all on the same plane and add micro adjust. Also would be nice to tap the sight for a light.

OK good to hear. Can you provide me a PDF version of the 2012 product line? Long time supporter of CBE would like to see what's changed for this year.
