I thinking of getting a new sight for my Synergy. I currently have a Viper H1000 am not really sold on it. Had some issues with the pins and it has also came lose once. I used to have a Spott Hogg Hunter Hogg It and probably shouldn't have sold it. I'm currenlty looking at a Sword Apex Twilight Hunter, it looks to be solid at a good price. Any thoughts or other suggestions. Thanks Joe

I like Sword sights. I have 3 apex micro 3rd planes. The pins are bright and super strong havent broke one yet.

Actually I forgot to mention that. I have used a HHA before and loved it. But heres the story with it. I was hunting in Colorado back in 05 and had a bull elk (4x4) come in at 55yds, ended up hitting him in shoulder, tracking him for a couple of miles before we lost blood. :( Anyways I had my pin set on 30yds because that was the avg shot I had in my stand and I had absolutly no time to mess with my pin. However at that time I had a PSE Firestorm Lite IBO of 308 , if I had my Synergy I would probably have my elk now. But that's way I have shyed away from single pin sliders. Thanks Joe

I have a Sword Twilight Hunter and love it! The pins glow so bright and the unit it solid as a rock! I ordered it with a .029 top pin and the rest in .019, great for low light hunting!

I'm pretty sure this is the sight I'm going with. I like just a single pin though. I assume you can take the other pins out and use just one pin. How does the sight ring adjust for elevation? Which pin size would you use if you had to have just one pin for hunting?

How are your eyes? .019 is the best for all around use. I have that green .029 pin at 20 yards, for low light....can't be beat. Order your sight with different sive pins and play!

Sword all the way!!! .19 pins are plenty bright before I can even see deer. I have 1 .19 green and 1 .010 green. 0-20 and 40 yds...hold a little high/low in between. Shot a robin at 55 yards in my yard the other day. Customer service is great, also! You won't be sorry.

I have yet to hear anyone bad-mouth a sword sight. :) But if you want to get a great sight and make your wife angry, get a spott hogg. It's an awesome sight and if she finds out how much you paid for it she won't speak to you for weeks. :D

For hunting, I prefer the Savage Quick Click Ranger. I have a scope for mine and a pendulum head.

Same here.. :D:D I have had a Spott Hogg, great sight, should have never sold it...:( and the wife did ask how much I paid for it, I told her $70, which was true because I had a $80 gift card. If she knew how much total :eek:

I've had the Twilight hunter and the 3rd Plane, both are very good sites and excellent values. The Twilight does not have any axis adjustment as does the 3rd plane and is not a dovetail mount. The 3rd Plane is more of a 3D sight being it is kinda long but then again I've got a Hogg-it on my Energy. I personally believe you sold the best sight out there the hunter hogg it, got to mod the fibers though

Somebody likes to brag. :p I think I am actually going to keep the Envy until they come out with something better at a 7" brace. If I do my part the bow does its part every time. I just haven't seen a company announce anything better.

Back to the sight question, I would like to have one of those spott hogg wraps with a large pin guard and seven pins though......

I have the small guard with Fitz .19 fibers now and it's pretty nice.
