Whacked a couple of does this morning. First one was a 6 yard shot, the second about an hour later was 18 yards. Watched them both fall. These Rage broadheads are just wicked. Whitetail just cant handle them......and of course the GTO performed flawlessly ;) When I cock the hammer on that mutha :censored2:er :censored2: dies!!! :D

Twas a fine morning all around, I also passed up a decent 8 pt, saw a :censored2: load of turkeys and was 2 hours late for work :)

The only bad thing about killing two at a time......it's twice the dragging

Here's some death pics and the scene of the crime :beer1:

I wish I'd taken a close up pic of the first entrance wound. With the extreme downward angle it left a huge 6 inch gash! Kinda reminded me of a girl I used to date :D

Thanks Ron! I'm digging the grips on the new Energy rebuild you did. Those look sharp!

Thanks, I can do the two piece and now one piece grips. With the little hunting I do you want to try a set of Silverflames? They have not gotten any use from me. If you have not shot some that is.

Edit?? What'd I say? I thought it was a pretty mild mannered post compared to some of my classic material. ;)

The 180XL's are flying machines. I love mine and they shoot great out of my Pure and E500 with 300 spine FMJ's.

I shoot snypers, original rages, great broadheads, myself i would not shoot the 2 inch I would go with the 1.5 inch 40ke. I love mechanical broadheads, they have made such a difference for me, no more wounding, my arrows hit where I aim, and my bows are always tuned, for days I will fine tune, but my form sucks when a 160" buck steps out after a long cold sit in the stand, this is when the mechs make all the difference, they hit where I aim. Just tuned in my pure last week, I use muzzy 3 blade to tune, flying perfect out to 50yards, shooting right with the field tips, a little bow torque and there she goes 1.5 feet off at 30 yards, not acceptable. This is why I will never hunt with a fixed blade again, I get excited and forget that you need perfect form for fixed bladed broadhead, yes they are stronger but most mech's are more than strong enough.
