I shot my pure through a chrono this weekend and was wondering if you could tell me if the speed sounds about right.
Pure, 29" draw. pulling 79lbs.
G5 peep, loop & cat whiskers on the string.
Easton FMJ 340, 27.5" (3) blazer vanes with a 125G tip.
3 shots = 278, 279, 279.
I don't have a scale to weight the arrow and I do not know what the insert/nock weigh, so I am guessing around a 480 grain finished arrow. Is that close?

seems slow.
28.5 - 68# 375 gr arrow. 311.
that would convert to about 300 with your setup

333 fps IBO, deduct 10 for dl. deduct 35-40 for 80gr over on arrow weight and 10 for string weight peep and such. = 273 - 278fps. So Id guess it was pretty much right on.

I will buy that one off you, and pay more than new price, you have the fastest pure on the planet.
My pure is 65lbs maxed 28" and it shoots my 340, 27" lightspeeds around 280fps ish, I think my arrows are 360gr total wt.

Seems pretty fast to me. You arrow is at least 480 grain. I shoot a 28" FMJ 340 with 100 grain point and it weights exactly 465 grains. Given the difference in point wt, should be right there. That is 80 grains over IBO for a 80lb limb (5grain X 80lb = 400 grain IBO). That is 27 fps added, which would be 306 fps actual, with a loaded string I am supposing. Not bad.
PS - if that is not 80lb limbs, you need to check specs to see why it is so high draw wt. Even maxed out should be 72-74lb.

Thanks for the responses.
I thought it would come out to be pretty close, just wanted confirmation from people who knew.
I do have 80lb. limbs.
