has anyone used the new dark horse from double bull yet. looks like the best of the T5 and matrix 360. love how the camo blends in, just don't like how they didn't make the window covers camo, they are black. Opinions!!!

Think it looks nice and all but I have a problem paying premium price for something no longer made in America.

Amen brother! I have a T5 and love it but......I was extremely ticked off when I made such a big deal out of getting a T5 instead of an IP5 because I didn't want the import to later find my T5 was imported too. They try to say it's better for the consumer and DB but I'm not listening!

I will say that I have liked the Matrix (owned two of them) and taken many animals out of them but for me they just don't hold up enough to justify a $400 price tag. I am going to make my own ground box blinds this year out of plywood. I will paint the outside green to blend in with the Cedar trees and paint the inside black. My shooting window will be covered with their shoot through mesh which you can buy separatley. Don't know any reason this won't work and I can leave it out since its on private land plus it will last longer for less money.

Make sure there is a comfy chair, AC unit, and a stocked cooler please:dance3:
As to the DB er..Primos err...whoever owns primos now(probably escalade or savage) blinds, I have 2(matrix & T5) good blinds but I will never spend the money on them again, quality has suffered as has the unconditional warranty.

I know things have changed with DB, but for aggressive turkey hunting I haven't found a better blind than my Matrix with light weight rods. I can set it up in 7 seconds, the window adjustment is nearly infinite, I couldn't be happier with it. I did break one rod, but that was because I was trying to setup on a bird that gobbled a little too close for comfort and in a rush I dove into the blind through the front window.
I was actually surprised that only one rod broke when my foot got hung up. :scratchhead:
In any event, I don't believe there is a better blind on the market.

I have a T5 from when they where still made in the US and I love it. It is the recurve model with light weight rods. I also have a Matrix but it is made in China. I like the T5 more then the Matrix.

I have a Matrix I bought from GSlam and it's a great blind, just to bad they had to ship them off to Chinese

The DB blinds are still very good quality. The transition over to Primos customer service has seen an overhaul and I think everyone will be pleased when and if they ever need customer support now if they just give them a call.

Although I hated to see production go overseas I don't know of any portable ground blind that is made anymore in the states.
I wish you the best of luck labdad and hope to see you stopping in sometime in the near future to pick up a pack of Scorpian Venom for that GTO your shooting.:)

Double bulls are still the best but the cheaper blinds are catching up fast. If a guy doesnt want to spend a fortune you can pick up a nice reasonably priced blind now.

I too think DBs are great, but there are some **** nice blinds out there for 1/2 the price for us poor people. I just bought an $80 blind and its just fine for me but I can tell the fabric won't hold up long.
