I got a couple nice Lonewolf hangons I can sell ya.

But for all day, sits, I would think a climber with the suspended seat style would be the most comforable.

A lot of people speak highly of the Summits too.

For all day sits I love my Summit Goliath...the only issue is it is a little too comfy, and I end up taking a lot of 20' naps...I've used a Summit Viper previously also and it was just as comfy, but I'm a big dude, so the Goliath gives me more room.

For a cheap (as in price...not junk) hang on capable of allowing all day sits, although better suited in my opinion to 4-6 hour sits, is the Big Game Boss XL. Platform is big enough to do a cartwheel on (and I'm 6'2" and 300 lbs.) and it comes w/a built in footrest. The seat/seat padding is the only negative as it's not horribly padded so you can fold the seat up easily, and the cushion decompresses quickly to the steel seat/frame. I've seen them on sale for as little as $60 and for what you get that's a steal. I think I've bought all mine for around $80.

I have 2 Summit Vipers and they are very comfortable and easy to use as long as you have a pretty straight tree and it is big enough. They are also some of the safest stands, I feel very secure at heights of 20 feet and more.

If you decide on a climber and have never used one before, you may want to practice with it some before you take it on a hunt. If you are not familiar with climbers, they can be noisy when setting up and climbing.

Most of my hunting is done from a Summit Viper climbing stand. I find it combines the best mix of safety, comfort, ease of use, and portability.

Try this one out. I have one and it's the most comfortable tree stand I have. I can say in it all day with no problem.

On Vhunters advise I also bought one of these stands. Take an alarm with you. Its good for naps and all day sits. I sit in one this last winter -9 out. coffee and heater keep me in all day! Of course it warmed up to 27 by the time I climbed down.

Its kind of bulky for taking out, but after set up its comfy.

I just bought 3 Big game boss XL's for 200 after shipping on ebay. They guy always has those on there for 165 plus shipping comes out to 67 dollars a pop to your door which is about as good as it gets and I love them. They are very comfortable and well made for the price!

if i were buying a climber i'd hands down go with the new lone wolf assault climber.it weighs a mere 14 1/2 lbs.i have the alpha climber and i really like it. it weighs 17 1/2 lbs and i thought it was light.plus it's made in u.s.a. as far as a hang on if you want a nice one i'd probably check out muddy.mellinium also looks like a all day sit stand.good luck!

I really like your blog and there are some interesting points made. There are so many sites out there which are badly presented that it's a pleasant suprise to find a good one. :chair::woohoo::luck:

most comfortable lock on made is a millenium lock on. easy to hang and the most comfortable stand to date. i quit using my summits because they are so comfortable. They are the way to go for long sits. i promise you wont be disappointed

I own the summit switchblade with the foot rest and I love it....Way more comfortable than a ladder stand. Plus the seat can move or sway forward so you can lean back against the tree in a more reclined position. And putting your feet up on the foot rest helps too. I have a bad back and I can sit it this all day and be comfortable. It also folds up so you can carry it around your back to the tree. Set up is pretty easy. Im not the fastest climber and never will be, so I just get out early enough to get settled in. I definitely take my time. I wish ladder stands were this comfortable.

I have a couple Millenium L/O they are comfortable but not has much as the Big Game ladder stand, padded seat, back and rails. I just received an order of Big Dog ladderstands, I haven't used one yet but they look like a comfortable perch.
With a little welding and drilling they will be has good as Big Game.

As mentioned before...I don't think you can beat a Tree Lounge for comfort...although they are a little heavy.

I moved out to CO so I don't tree hunt...but I use the Tree Lounge around camp for napping outside of the tent in the afternoons.

YES, there is. Here goes my first ever post after selling my Mathews and buying a PURE:

For hang-ons, number one in my opinion, is the Millenium. Lot's of companies finally catching on and trying to copy their design, but still none successfully, yet. The difference between a Millenium and all the others is hard to explain or believe. You just have to sit in one, and sit in one all day. Believe it or not, the Summit rsx Eagle is amazingly comfortable, too.

For climbers, I really think it depends on your physique and bone structure, ie; personal preference. Ofcourse the treelounge is number one, but it's really not a bowhunter's stand IMO. Treewalker and any of the large Summits are great!!

Agreed. Biggest challenge with them is not to fall asleep. :luck:
