hi, how close does everyone have their string suppressor to the string for best results on sound etc?

Thats been heavily debated, but I think its per bow really. I had one set about 1/16" and it worked great on a ar34, but my buddy has one on an allegence and his has to be touching with slight preasure.

Got my STS back from a friend the other day, shoved a new stopper on it and set it just short of touching. The first shot shoved the stopper on another 3/16" or so as the EDS had some air trapped in it. Left it where it was and seemed to work just as well there.

Contrary to popular opinion, there is no one right way. What you have on your string will have an effect on the best spacing as will the weight of the arrows you shoot. There are many variables, you must experiment and see what works best on your bow.

I dont think the meanv is adjustable. I have a vibekiller from coolhandluke and it is adjustable. That is the reason I went with lukes.

Same here. The Vibekiller is nice for just that reason. I experimented with mine and ended up leaving it just touching the string.

I would have to agree. Do what works best for You. :) For me about a Credit Card Between the string and suppressor. ;)
