Hi folks,

My story:
After taking archery lessons (from an Easton/Hoyt pro) throughout high-school (20 yrs ago) I just now have the time/$$ to start up again.

A bit over a year ago I purchased a Hoyt Tykon XL and a local shop set it up for me; however, I've only shot it twice (50 ish arrows) and I don't care for it.

My question:
I have a 26.5" dl - has anyone here, with short arms, shot a 'regular' bow, then switched to a short dl specific bow, Ice/Fire, and been pleasantly surprised?

I ask, because there are no Elite dealers near me - I want a new Fire for spot shooting only, but I can't try one out, so I'm looking for advice from folks who've made the switch and appreciated doing so, or not.

Any advice is much appreciated, and of course, as always, pictures of the Fire in target colors would be an added pleasure, for me!

The fire should be faster at 26.5 than the trykon, and the draw should be better, without that nasty let-off the trykon has.I have a bowtech equalizer almost the same a-a and brace height and binary cams as the fire and it shoots in the 290 range at that draw with ibo arrow.
