I just picked up the EZ-Fletch mini this weekend. Took it out of the package and played with it a bit, but haven't tried to fletch an arrow, yet. Noticed there's no adjustment for placement distance from nock... but not sure if thats a bit deal or not.

What's your take on this jig? How consistent is it?

I bought mine a couple weeks ago, done about 3 dozen arrows with it. both blazers and fusion vanes through it with no problems. I had never made my own arrows before, very easy and they all came out very nice. Only takes about 20 mins to make a dozen.

Any issues with vanes not sticking down completely, or inconsistencies between arrows?

Does anyone think having vanes moved forward or backwards makes much difference? I have all of mine in the same location, which is further back than the EZ-fletch will do.

There should not be any variance in vane location. The nock fits into a slot and every vane is put on the same distance from the nock. I have both the reg. and Mini AEF. I've made many dozens of arrows up with all kinds of vanes and never had a problem with any except the Neon Fusions.......the Arizona Easy Fletcher is super for speed of operation and if you use the proper glue, you won't have any problem with vanes coming off.

I have used gorilla glue, krazy glue and gold tip. no problems with any. i put a little too much at first and the ez fletch pushed a lot of it out and i got some on the holders and they stuck a little on the shaft but after i got that figured out, i love it.

I bought the mini, because I don't see going back to longer vanes.

That said, I'm second guessing if I should have just gotten the full-size version. More room for different fletchings, and it's the same price.

Is there any benefit whatsoever to the mini over the regular if you use blazers?

I did get the mini.

Forgive my fletching noobness. I've only ever used the bohning jig, and once I got it setup, I never changed it again. I've done all my fletchings exactly the same for some time now.

Any pros/cons to the added helical on these smaller fletchings?

Any noticeable difference in sound-in-flight from the added helical?

Excited to use this thing, but I'll admit that I bought it based on ease-of-use before thinking about how my end product might differ from my current process.

I love the easy fletch mini. The added helical steers broadheads better imo.

I agree and what makes it great is the speed in which you can get a dz done! Amazing little tool.
